JW Marriott Hotel Shenzhen

5.0 out of 5.0

Rooms and decor were spacious but very dated, bed was small, room clean. The executive lounge was not as nice as JW Marriots in Zhuhai and Malaysia. The lounge was more like a table and chairs cafeteria with a poor selection of hor d'ourves - mostly Chinese food. Drinks were ok in lounge. Breakfast buffet was okay, not too crowded, but nothing special. Staff was nice and accommodating, Checkin/out was quick and efficient. General location is good - on main street. Walking distance to Chegongmao but takes 15 minutes to actually get to the platform and station is very busy in the morning. It is next to a golf course but it is fenced in like a prison so no green areas to walk in - very built up and crowded. Overall Hotel is okay but not up to the standards of most JW Marriots. There are many 5 star hotels in Shenzhen with better locations and facilities.

I often stay in this hotel, it’s like my second home. Even though Shenzhen has a lot of hotel, this is one of my favorites. The hotel has a very modern style to it and very clean and comfortable. But the food is one of the best. They breakfast has a big selection food from western, to asian food. You won’t be disappointed. They have a great chef Tom who cares about his food and making customers are always very satisfied and walk out with a smile.

This is my second at this hotel since my first was superb as I was traveling with my two young kids. Where to start... TV had plenty of American channels so I could watch the World Series, and even in the bathroom. Breakfast is first class in both main dinning and executive lounge. Staff very over the top helpful. hotel is 100 yards from metro station so sightseeing on our schedule was easy. JW standard at Courtyard prices. Been to Shenzhen probably 10 times and this is my new spot. Only wish exec lounge opened before 6a.m. since the first couple days arriving are always brutal with getting up too early. Tall Tom (can't miss him as he looks like Yao MIng) was amazing and so nice to the kids. We got everything we wanted when we wanted it - even a room change for a better view since the hotel was not full the days we were there. As for the View reminded me of looking down the Vegas Strip!

JW is JW. In Asia, JW is considered a premium hotel, and this one is no exception. From service to how the room was prepared, it didn't disappoint. The hotel is also close to some vibrant nightlife. It's surprisingly lively on a Tuesday, reminiscent of Lang Kwai Fung across the border in HK.

If you are in to Hotel interior design this is a hotel to visit. Considered application of finishes and details. Good variety of food on offer for breakfast. Executive Lounge service very good and Gym / Pool facilities that were available was sufficient.

I have visited this hotel 3 times now and every time I am so impressed with the level of service provided. The staff take much pride in providing the best service possible. Tom on the second floor in the restaurant literally stands above the rest. He goes out of his way to make sure your coffee is hot and you have everything you need. He is very polite and professional. As a gold member of the rewards club I have access to the executive lounge on the 27th floor. The food is always very good and the staff are very friendly and attentive. To name a few of my favorites, Echo, Maggie, and Cici. They always have a smile on their face and are very welcoming. They make me feel at home when I’m across the globe. Will be staying here again in the future.

Imma strongly recommend the property with extremely nice facilities and services! Clean room with clear city view, Tom introduced me breakfast options with outstanding service, accommodated any needs I had! A Plus!

The JW Marriott in Futian district is my favorite hotel in Shenzhen. This is mainly because the friendly staff on the executive floor; Echo and Cici are making a difference, they remember my name, know my favorite drinks, and my favorite room in the hotel. Also "King" (the bell boy), is always ready to get my bags and the taxi ready. The hotel is clean and well maintained for Chinese standards. the rooms are large and affordable. The breakfast buffet on the 2nd floor, has something for every-one's taste.

I travel to Shenzhen often and in the past stayed at many of the different hotels there. Now, this is my favorite. I've stayed there multiple times in teh past and will do so in the future. Unique is the level of attention and help provided by all the staff. A callout goes to their concierge desk - Christy. They've always helped me with the address and directions and some unsual requests. I like to jog and I wanted to find a 5 mile stretch with no traffic and great views. They delivered; got me there and I had a great run. The restaurants are excellent and the rooms great. I'd recommend this hotel easily. (To hotel staff: On my last stay I left a letter recognizing your exceptional service and made a note to myself to post a review on this site. Sorry, it took a while, but here it is)

The hotel room is huge, the hotel location is nice, only 10 mins drive to teamlab and OCT-LOFT The best value thing is the hotel SPA, super value, RMB698, 30 mins body scrub and 60 mins massage 💆 , so relax and the spa staff is very nice and will recommend good place to visit
