Staying in a permanently docked ship is an out of the ordinary novelty. Staff has been friendly and helpful. Bed is firm, but not too firm. Being in the heart of Sea World is convenient. Enjoyed a delicious Thai lunch, Mexican dinner, Starbucks expresso, then some live music at "meeting Jazz". Lots of food choices here in Sea World. Looking forward to a western breakfast tomorrow onboard. I would stay again, my wife would too if I book a room with a larger window instead of a small port hole (Oops).

The Cruise Inn is a big honkin' ship that's been turned in to a hotel. It sits at the head of the Sea World Plaza in Shekou in a little puddle of water that has a surprisingly good water show set to music (think Las Vegas). The hotel is surrounded by every kind of restaurant you could ever want including a pretty good Mexican restaurant. There are shops galore, ATM's and a subway station which will take you anywhere you want to go in the Shenzhen area. Shekou is a part of Shenzhen and is a quieter place with a slower pace with sort of a small town atmosphere. There is a nearby border crossing to Hong Kong and a ferry service to Hong Kong and Macau. The prices are reasonable, the service is good and for a few bucks extra you can have a view of the Sea World Plaza which is world class people watching. I have stayed here many times and I will stay here many times in the future.
