Enjoyed 3rd floor (top). Layout of room & bath areas met expectation. Clean, well stocked. KS bed is well positioned and comfortable. HIE amenities abound - especially Cinnamon rolls at breakfast. Good parking and luggage carts for easy move to/from room.
I admit I approached this stay with a bit of snobbery. There being no Starwood or Marriott property in the immediate area, and with the fancy Kohler/Whistling Straits properties priced above my corporate T&E price point, I had to stay here. Frankly, it wasn't at all worse than any Courtyard by Marriott, or Four Points I've been in. Front desk was extremely friendly, the little happy hour set up for IHG members was nice, and the Presidential Suite I was in was massive. Cavernous, even. I can't say I had a single thing to complain about here, and would recommend it if you're in the Sheboygan area.
Great location. Close to highway, stores, and restaurants. Check-in was fast. Room was exceptionally clean. Bathroom had amazing lighted mirror and good ventilation. Beds and pillows were comfortable. Heating units were a bit noisy as in most motels. We did not try the breakfast so can't comment on that. Just two things brought it down a notch. We had room 201 so we could hear the elevator hum, and a very annoying beeping sound from the mechanical room next door. Sounded like a phone receiver off the hook embedded in the wall next to the bed. Over and over and over again. That can be tolerated if you block it out of your mind. However, the noise of the staff taking their smoke breaks underneath the window, including at 7 am Sunday morning, loudly talking and laughing, is impossible to block out. There must be a better spot for employee smoking than right next to the front entrance. All in all we can recommend this motel, but not room 201.
Cordially greeted at reception. Greeted each time we came in and asked how our room was. Breakfast area well maintained. Loved all the wall plugs. Nicely located near interstate and next to a WalMart.
This is my 2nd stay at this hotel and I was pleased with my stay. The highlights: 1. Numerous pillows on the beds 2. Very nice hot breakfast with a good variety of options 3. Happy hour during the week 4. Plenty of towels in the room 5. Location is right by shopping and dining. You can even walk to Walmart! The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars: -it was a little loud...you could hear doors slam and people flushing toilets. This was not a huge bother, but something I noticed.
Hotel had everything I needed for my stay including a happy hour at 5pm. Rooms are all up-to-date and comfortable. Plenty of plugs bedside to plug in all my electronics (hotels sometime miss this perk). I stay here for work when I can and have never had a bad stay. Centrally located to eating places (although I go downtown) and easy on/off the highway without the highway noise. Thermostat has option for continuous fan which I like for white noise while sleeping. Would stay here again if I come back to town.
The employees here are well trained and show in every way that they care about customer experience and the value of repeat business. It is clean and comfortable and what you should expect from the Holiday Inn Express brand, plus the added benefit if attentive service.
The Holiday Inn Express Sheboygan - Kohler is a wonderful hotel! I can't begin to tell you what a great time we had...we were so happy to have had the opportunity to meet General Manager Cameron Bopp, who leads a phenomenal team. You can't pass any of them without being greeted with a smile or a friendly "hello!" Kassandra, the hotel's Manager-in-Training, made our reservations for us and gave us a great rate and room upgrade. Thank you, Kassandra! Jessica and Ahmed at the Front Desk were both very friendly, efficient and professional. We looked forward to seeing Mary for breakfast every morning. Don't miss breakfast - there is something for everyone! And this hotel, which hosts many corporate guests during the week, offers complimentary hors' doeuvres and beverages Monday through Thursday. Jessica was our bartender, and my husband absolutely loved sampling the IPA beer! We met Maintenance Engineer Fit at the indoor swimming pool, and Alyssa in Housekeeping kept our guest room spotless each and every day. The hotel's location is perfect, the rates are great and we can't wait to return. Thanks to the best staff for making our visit to see our family even more special!
This is one great Holiday Inn property. It's a property that's over 20 years old but looks and feels like it just opened. Super clean, everything works as designed and it's in a great location off of I-43. They offer a happy hour until 7pm that includes good wine, a variety of beers, limited mixed drinks and light snacks. The attendant was great, always checking that everything is okay and going from table to table. The breakfast was usual HI fare, but was presented better than I've ever seen before. Always kept hot and fresh. Never out of anything. The staff was truly exceptional from check-in to check-out. They couldn't do enough for you. If you're near Sheboygan, do yourself a favor and stay here for a great, moderately priced stay. I can't say enough. Highly recommend.
What would you expect from a HIE ? This was for me a better experience because of very friendly stuff and pretty new or very well maintained rooms. so good stay. However the complementary breakfast is w/o comment. Some of that (something yellow is called omlette) is simply not eatable My view: better not to offer it. Joghurt, boiled eggs and fruits were good. Coffee and juice (instant). So overall the people there made my day. Gym is small but very good - new machines and clean. Pool exists. but is very small. Good located next to Interstate. Late. arrival and early leave did suit my needs.
