The service at Raffles Seychelles was one of the best we've ever had. From the general manager to the hospitality staff (Uday, Mohammad, Brenna, Supriya, Vyshak) and to the reception staff (Jonathan, Lindy) we were well taken care of and all our needs exceeded. The concierge team could have been a bit more organized and the food selection and quality felt a bit lacking but the attention to detail across all the f&b teams, staff across the property was so personalized we didn't want to leave. The villas are spacious and offer just enough privacy. The resort to us, felt suitable for both an adult getaway as well as a family inclusive vacation. We'd love to return!
We enjoyed a superb week in the Seychelles at Raffles. Excellent, safe hotel, great villas, super facilities and beach. We loved it! The views and quality are unbeatable. Hotel staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The General Manager Edouard Grosmangin and Executive Chef Jenő Friedl are the best, looking after your every need or wish. We will definitely return to this heaven on earth!
We stayed here for 4 nights for our honeymoon and it set a high bar on what to expect from a luxury resort. Frederic, Var and Kavi welcomed us and helped us with checkin process and got us settled quickly. Good: - Staff knowledge of the island. Frederic recommended us to visit Fond Ferdinand instead of Vallée de Mai for seeing the famous coco de mer and it was worth it. Not only it saved us some money, the trek was worth it and the view from top was totally mind blowing. - Attentive staff We met with some issues outside the resort and it was amazing to see that the entire staff checked in on us the next day as we walked by on how we are doing. My wife and me were floored by this gesture. - Attention to detail On our first breakfast day, the server clearly saw that we did not like how the coffee tasted and quickly came in asking if we would like something else. I liked how swift she was to ensure we have a pleasurable experience. - Concierge. They helped us to get to the island across to see the tortoises. They also helped us get a car rental with ease. - Breakfast amazing breakfast with wide array of delicious choices. Okayish- - In villa dinning. The food was tasty no doubt , but the quantity was lacking. I ordered a burger and the patty seem small for a burger (or its the american in me speaking), it was not fulfilling. It was definitely not a quarter pounder I was used to The pizza we ordered was also sub-par, the bread base was clearly under cooked (probably needed more heat in the over) and soggy as a result. For some unknown reason the pineapple in hawiian pizza was just a one big chuck on each slice. I prefer small chunks spread out so I can get the max pineapple flavor. Need to improve: -Listen to what the customers want. Even after telling them that we want to try local stuff, they kept recommending us Indian food and events offered in the resort. Why would I eat Indian food after travelling half way across the world? Maybe ask if us if we want to relax and stay in or we want explore the local culture and cuisine. I'm still mad about them not telling us about what is a takeaway for when were were out exploring the island and had to learn from an local. - what to lookout for. We rented a car and we lost control and damaged the car. It felt like it was a regular occurrence with guest getting in accidents on rentals. It would be nice to give a heads up about road safety and how to drive their roads to avoid accid
We were very satisfied with our stay at Raffles Seychelles! The place as such is very beautiful and the villas are very spacious, private and clean (we stayed at Villa #175 at the very top corner which was an ocean view villa). At a resort like this the staff is of course key and we can only say they made a fantastic job everything from buggy drivers, restaurant staff and management. Frederic the general manager was a great guy that was hands on all the time with greeting guests and interacting with the staff, same goes for the head chefs at the restaurants. The tandoori buffet was without exaggeration the best buffet I have ever experienced and we had it twice during our stay (I am not a buffet person usually) while the Creole buffet was nothing too special food wise - but it was interesting (and tasty) eating bats for the first time. The Christmas Semi Buffet I think was brilliant with offering a starter and dessert buffet while the main course was a choice between 3 alternatives - that way you can combine a buffet with an a la carte - and it does not become vulgar and distasteful as has been our experience with Christmas buffets in the Maldives - where more becomes too much! We were very happy to arrive in low season before Christmas and it felt like we had the whole resort for ourselves - also because at all these premium resorts the worst thing is often annoying guests who think they are rulers of universe just because they spend 1000 USD/night.
Enjoyed reach and every part of the property. If you are in Seychelles then you should must stay at this property at-least for 1 night. Every person of Raffles is so polite and helpful. Every time you met them they makes you feel special.
we enjoyed our stay in raffles resort, pricey but worth it. love the noodle corner during breakfast, room's plunge pool is clean but the water is very cold. we had garden view room, and literally we just saw trees outside the room, the view from the lobby is beautiful, we really enjoyed our stay. buggy service was good, lots of resort information during your stay. very recommended.
If staying at this resort is in your budget don’t think twice. This is probably the best resort I have ever stayed in, almost in every aspect. The details the staff pays attention to are amazing. Food is delicious in every restaurant, I’m vegan and all the staff made every possible effort to accommodate my needs. Also the resort’s beach is as beautiful as any other in the island. Best vacation in Paradise!
After staying at Constance Lemuria for 8 nights, we continued our holiday by going to Raffles Seychelles for 8 nights. On arrival, we thought the reception area was an interim area and we will be taken to the real reception area from there…alas, this was the reception area, it was underwhelming. I am all for open air development, but the reception area and other parts of the resort looked like they were incomplete, it felt as though they ran out of money and did not finish things off properly; there was no air conditioned area for arriving/departing guests to wait in, instead you have to wait at the pool bar area (in your travel clothes) while the villa is getting ready (on arrival we had to wait for nearly 3 hours in the afternoon heat before our villa was ready, other people were there for even longer). The resort beach was ok, but too narrow and small, most people opted to stay near the pool instead, you can always walk to nearby Anse Lazio (30 minute walk to a popular public beach). I was surprised that there was no business lounge equivalent for guests to check their booking and print out boarding passes or other documents. The villa was impressive and in line with my expectations of Raffles. We enjoyed our meals at Losean restaurant thanks to Chef Sandriham for ensuring that my wife’s dietary requirements were met and didn’t feel left out. The gym was adequate, but could easily be made bigger by removing the toilets area (use Spa toilets instead). House keeping were excellent as were the buggy drivers.
We were on our honeymoon and couldn't have chosen a better location than Raffles. We were upgraded to a partial ocean view by Shan, the manager and we were thrilled.Their villa with infinity pool is amazing. It was perfect! We dined in Curieuse restaurant and the Sushi bar, their sushis are great too. It was a pleasure to meet Chef Sunil Dutt. Raffles is very private and is on a remote part of Praslin. That is exactly what we wanted, privacy!! It's good to rent a car around the island and beach hop. We hopped from beach to beach and the best beach I can vouch for is Anse Georgette, a Constance property. Anse Lazio beach is close to Raffles which is lovely too. Food is pricey in Seychelles and there's nothing much that can be done. But we loved it. Breakfast at Raffles covers almost all cuisines and you'll hardly complain. The best thing about Raffles is everyone is so polite, especially the staff at the reception. Me and Raj would like to thank Shan, who made our stay lovely and the woman(I don't remember her name) at the spa. We would love to come back to Raffles someday, especially craving for the privacy, something that I miss here in India. Definitely a great stay!!
Had lunch here on the last day of our holiday at the poolside restaurant . Really nice surroundings and lots of very attentive staff. Food was good although I had to remind the waitress that the feta cheese is my Greek salad was missing, the chef came out and apologised personally which was good. We have passed Raffles complex on numerous occasions and it was disturbing to see razor wire going up around the perimeter, whats that all about ? it makes it look like a prison instead of a luxury hotel.
