Our family of four had the immense pleasure of taking the Sometimes Creek Cabin's Nautical Nights on her maiden "voyage!" The amount of attention to detail put into this boat, both in the original construction of it and then in all of the little details put in by Jami and Blaine when they restored it, have to be seen to be believed! Whether it was portable mini fans for air circulation in each cabin, custom cut bedding for the smaller cabin, custom blackout curtains for the whole boat, or rugs on all of the floors to keep your feet warm, no detail was spared! This was, hands down, our 5 and 7 year old's favorite place we stayed on our 12 night trip to Alaska, and was the grown ups' favorite as well. Having the freedom to run around and climb all over the boat without needing to worry about them falling into water was such a treat for all of us! If you like unique, "quirky" stays, this is the place for you! If you have mobility issues, it may not be since there are some large/steep steps down into the cabins and some head ducking needed to navigate around the boat. But if you're on the fence, just do it! The location was perfect - less than 10 minutes to Seward, very quiet and private, and far away from the cruise ship crowds. The boat has two bathrooms which are also showers, and everything is amazingly functional. Jami and Blaine could not have been more welcoming and helpful hosts and will be happy to answer any questions. We are truly grateful for our stay here!
