Escape to the Great Smoky Mountains at Sloan Ridge Retreat, a spacious cabin with a mountain view for up to 11 guests just minutes away from Pigeon Forge and the entrance to the Smoky Mountains National Park. Whether you are looking to explore the nearby hiking trails and waterfalls or just hoping to cuddle by the house fire, Sloan Ridge Retreat is bound to feel like your home away as soon as you walk through the door.

The location is unbeatable for those wanting to relax in nature, far enough away from neighboring cabins, while simultaneously enjoying the convenience of having anything they might need just minutes away.

Access to a community swimming pool and fishing pond are included with booking. They are located off site, just a 10 minute drive from the cabin.

Sloan Ridge Retreat is a 2300 square foot cedar cabin with 3 levels, each level has a bedroom, en suite bathroom, and deck. 4 Decks total!

Our favorite feature are the four decks overlooking the mountain. The deck on the lower level has an outdoor hot tub, while the main level has a wrap-around deck complete with porch swing. The third one is located on the upper level and is a charming spot for watching the flickering night lights of distant cabins.

The master bedroom is located on the main level and has a king-sized bed and an ensuite bath with a separate jacuzzi tub. You will find two extra bedrooms with separate bathrooms in the other two levels, as well as a loft space on the upper level that works like a fourth bedroom. Should you need to fit more guests, there is also a sofa bed in the lower level.

The house is full of amenities you are free to enjoy. You can relax by the cozy gas fire during the winter or take in the view from one of the decks on a summer night. The game room on the lower level has a pool table, an air hockey table, board games, and a retro arcade game.

Our cabin is fully equipped with everything you might need, including a washer/drier. The kitchen is ready to use and includes cookware, dinnerware, a coffee maker, a blender, and all the cooking essentials.

Other things to note

Pets are unfortunately not allowed. We love this house and hope to keep it in great shape for our guests, so no smoking or parties either. Outside fires are not allowed in the area. Please note that guests must be over 25 years old, unless accompanied by a parent, and will be responsible for any damage to the property during your stay.

You will have full access to the house during your stay.

Check-in is completely independent. We will provide all the instructions before check-in. Check in after 4pm and check out before 10am.

Location

Our cabin is situated on Sloan Ridge, facing Little Cove Gap, and has an unbelievable view of Tilda High Top Mountain.

The location is unbeatable. Pigeon Forge and the entrance to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park are each just 10 minutes away by car, so you will have everything you need at your doorstep while still enjoying the feeling of being secluded. There are plenty of hiking paths nearby and scenic drives all around.

Getting around

You need a vehicle to get around the area. Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, and the entrance to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park are just a short drive away.

There is parking for up to 4 cars right outside the house. Black top roads and driveway all the way (no gravel).

Great Vacation Cabin!!

This cabin was exactly what we needed. I took my grandchildren and my daughters away for spring break. This cabin was very clean and very restful. We ranged in ages 65 to 6. The basement game room was a hit for the teens. And we enjoyed the large living space to just hang out and relax. Thanks for much for the stay.

This was such an amazing cabin, the pictures don't do it enough justice it’s even prettier in person. The host was fantastic at communicating and had awesome tips for us for our stay. Beautiful view

This cabin offers a stunning view off the deck with ample outdoor seating. Bathrooms with showers for each bedroom is a nice feature as well as the game room. All of us had plenty of room. Ben was quick to respond to messages. Kitchen could use a few more items like large plastic spoons/pasta spoon/steak knives, but loved that they had a crock pot and they did have enough items to make it work. The cabin is also generous with their starter supply of items, which was very much appreciated. Drive isn't bad, just a few sharp turns, but once you have done it once it isn't too bad to navigate.

What a beautiful view and cabin. The kids loved the gameroom; and the adults loved the deck! We had dinner, morning coffee, and card games outside on the deck every night. There were a couple of things that didn't work: the TV in the bunk room, and main bedroom. but we weren't there for the TV. The only other thing we didn't forsee was the downstairs bedroom , though spacious, wasn't secure feeling to leave the kids down there on their own. The bedroom door didnt lock with deadbolt (wasn't matching up) and IF that door weren't there, it would have been perfect. Kids were not comfortable with it in there. The cabin was gorgeous, supplied well and very homey feeling. Hated leaving your beautiful cabin. The grill was fabulous as well! We will be back!!

A Great Getaway

My husband and I chose this cabin to treat our parents to a vacation and we couldnt have loved it more. The host always responded in a timely manner when I had a question and was attentive to sending recommendations in the area as well. It's a great location, kind of being near everything, but also quiet at the same time so you're not in the middle of it all. Absolutely beautiful views as well, a camera cannot capture how gorgeous it is! We will be saving this one for the books!
