Clean room, but no air conditioning (just heating) which is fine for the winter, but with 4 people in a room it just got way too hot. Room and washroom also very small, but this hotel is in an amazing location in the middle of seoul so pretty much what you would expect.

The location is excellent and very convenient. The room was acceptable for the price, however the walls had many visible stains, which affected the overall presentation. The staff were not very helpful when assistance was requested. I asked for help calling a taxi, but was advised they could only assist with taxis to the airport. Additionally, the lift to the reception was frequently packed, as the building is shared with other tenants, including a large and very busy hotpot restaurant.

I've stayed at the Line Hotel in January and experienced a similar visit where my shower walls were unclean and had "dried boogers" on them. This visit in October, my bathroom walls were covered in various spots of black mold on the tiles and the showerhead. The room walls were stained and dirty. I spoke to the front desk and was assured it would be cleaned the next day. It took 2 complaints for housekeeping to come and bleach the walls and change out the shower head. Unfortunately my cousin's room was much worse with the same complaints and not cleaned. They had to stay in the mild and dirt for 7 days.

Very Disappointing Stay – Would Not Recommend This was our first time visiting Korea, and unfortunately, our experience at The Line Hotel Myeongdong was extremely disappointing. From the moment we checked in, the condition of our room did not meet basic cleanliness or maintenance standards. The walls were visibly dirty, with noticeable marks and grime. The bathroom was even worse, with black mold growing around the sink and along the floor edges, indicating that it had not been properly cleaned in a long time. The shower head and floor had red water stains, which further showed poor cleaning and maintenance. We also found stains on the original bed sheets, which made us uncomfortable using them. The lighting in the room was terrible; only one of the two sensor lights worked, and the other was burnt out. We requested a room change, but the front desk denied our request. My husband asked if someone could at least clean the mold and walls due to health concerns, but housekeeping never came despite our repeated requests. We tried to find other hotels nearby, but everything was fully booked, so we had no choice but to stay for the full week, which felt far too long given the poor conditions. Overall, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. The lack of cleanliness, maintenance, and customer service made what should have been a memorable first trip to Korea a very unpleasant experience.

Average only location is good

Very average hotel. Check in past 3pm. No rooms are cleaned till after 4pm (makes no sense) as you come back to dirty room. No water given everyday. No heating. It was 4 degrees and freezing. You shower over the sink and everything gets wet. Stay here only for the location.

Location was fine, in the middle of the hustle and bustle of myeongdong, but the rooms were not like the pictures. Marks on the walls, humidity in the room despite the a/c being on all night was unbearable that we only spent one of the three nights there and moved to another hotel without a refund. Staff didn’t seem to care.

Line Hotel Myeongdong was conveniently located just a few streets away from the main shopping street of Myeongdong. It was clean, tidy, and new towels were provided every day. The room had good air conditioning and water pressure and the mini fridge kept our items very cold. We booked the standard double room without a window — just be aware the room is very small, there is no floor or table space to open a luggage completely, it must be done on the bed. There is also no separate shower area, the shower wand is handheld and must be used next to the sink.
