We stayed at Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Seaside-Convention Center and overall were satisfied with our experience. The location is very convenient — close to the convention center, within walking distance to the beach, and with cafés and shops nearby. This is a big plus, especially if you’re not traveling by car. The room was clean and spacious, with a comfortable bed and good soundproofing. We appreciated having a microwave and a refrigerator, which is convenient for both short and longer stays. Housekeeping was done regularly, and the staff were polite and helpful.

We were traveling for business, I picked this hotel because it was close to our project and included breakfast. Check-in was great, very professional and helpful. There was a predicted storm hit the area and we lost power at midnight. There was not a lot of people staying there but when we worked our way down the very dark hall with no safety lighting and dark stairs to the desk no one was there 2 woman sitting in lounge chairs having coffee delivered to them. We ask where the staff was and one said they were. There were nothing for guests not even can we help you. After going back to room and packing we came down and said they needed to put something out for the hotel guests, fruit, pastries anything. We went to another hotel for coffee. She finally did put out a couple things since we asked. The customer service that morning was horrible and unprofessional. The hotel had no flashlight to offer or safety light in halls and stairwells. The staff or at least a few didn’t care or needed some training. Winters can be harsh and they will probably loose power again, hopefully they will be more prepared and have staff trained. Otherwise I can’t recommend them.

Not going to lie the room was pretty dirty, there was hair all over the shower and random stains on the bedding which isn’t something I care about to much just the hair thing grossed me out. Also we were having lots of problems with key card, as soon as we checked in we immediately noticed only one of the cards we were given worked. The next day both cards were not working and we had to go up and down the elevator multiple times until the manager had to come up with us to our room to figure out why our key cards weren’t working, turned out they only activated our cards for one night :/, other than that it was really nice, we loved the breakfast and unlimited coffee and hot coco!

Our room seemed clean, however, our sheets were stained… and dirty. Yuk. Looks like housekeeping just cleaned the room and remade the bed. We called front desk and they did switch us to another room pretty quickly, not what you want to do at 10:00 pm after and 8 hr drive. Staff was apologetic though with their words.

The front desk person ignored me for 9 minutes while I was standing there at the counter to check in. Not even a smile or a nod while he was completing a phone call. Also, desk staff guy was wearing a hoodie and sweats, no name tag that I could see, and I wasn't sure if it was the right person to talk to. The hot tub didn't work correctly because the controls were broken. The only elevator to the 4th floor was a service elevator in a room off of the main hallway. We shared it with the big housekeeping carts. The shower leaked water out the bottom. There was a doorstop on the floor in the middle of the room entrance hall, perfect for stubbed toes and bumped heels in an "accessible" room. The breakfast utensils were the flimsy breakable plastic ones that didn't even stand up to scrambled eggs. This was the most expensive hotel on our trip and we chose it to have our last night be special. It had more problems than any of the other Oregon motels we chose from Oxford Suites or independents. The location was nice. Thank you.
