Beautiful position, room could have been better.

Really The hotel is in a beautiful position with gorgeous views of the mountains and valley plus lovely walks straight from the hotel. Our room was on the third floor (no lift) and was quite small with no en- suite bathroom and the double bed’s side was against the wall which made it difficult to get out of for one of us (ie me!) Also nowhere to put or hang clothes, not even a rack to put suitcases on. The staff were helpful and friendly and the breakfast was nice.

A cozy, clean and comfortable spot at an excellent location. The restaurant served gourmet food at reasonable prices featuring extraordinary views of the surrounding landscape. Excellent customer service starting with Manuel who was very helpful with planning local hikes. Highly recommended to anyone interested visiting the Lucerne/Pilatus area.

Absolutely beautiful

This is Gem that located in deep natural beauty mountain of outside of Lucerne, it is highly recommended if you travel by car and relax in mountains surrounding incredible view

Very nice traditional Swiss hotel. Incredible views of the countryside. I found it to be very spartan with no TV and very basic bedding which was not very comfortable. The bath room is across the hall and not in the same room. Even though it listed “free breakfast” according to Expedia we were charged 15 CF per person per day. This was a nice one time experience but I would not stay here again.

Beautiful Alpine Getaway

We were pleasantly surprised that Hammer was basically hotel for hikers and was located high up a narrow mountain road. We had a private bathroom and a wonderful view of the mountains. The staff were pleasant and helpful. I highly recommend this to anyone who loves the mountains
