Stayed here one night on our way through. Very convenient, clean and quiet. Wanted to do laundry but something was wrong with the washing machine. The front office staff was friendly enough but could not help me. We had to leave to find a local laundromat and grab a bite for dinner. Nice little town and friendly people everywhere we went.
This is a good location off of the interstate. The room was clean and comfortable. Staff was very nice and helpful. The breakfast was better than some, but not a lot of seating. There is limited parking too. We didn't arrive until after 9 p.m. and most spots were taken. The only problem was the air conditioner seemed louder than other hotels.
The front desk reception at the property was friendly and efficient. Our reservation request was exactly as requested. The property is well maintained and well away from the noise of I-95. It is in a cluster of motels that will soon have even more. The breakfast was standard HIE, which means good. The only negative is that the beds are on a platform that is perhaps three feet above the floor, making it a chore to climb in or out. If you are a heavy sleeper who drops off when your head hits the pillow, no problem. If you are up and down, it is annoying. The decor has otherwise been spared HEI's new yuppified furnishings. All in all, an excellent motel with only this one potential drawback for some people.
We stayed at the holiday inn express over night driving to Florida The stay was very nice the rooms were clean and the women at the front desk was very polite and helpful The holiday in was decorated beautifully there were a lot of places to eat to It was a very pleasant place to stay at and it was acciable to the interstate we were on We drove down 95 and it was an easy access getting on and off
We stopped here for an overnight and booked 3 rooms for our family and extended families while on a road trip to Florida in early May. After spending hours in April researching hotels and speaking in depth with front desk worker, I booked this hotel and was promised and assured by female worker at front desk that it had a heated pool and outdoor hot tub. Upon checkin, was told that it does not have a hot tub nor a heated pool, so basically, was lied to...to make matters worse, was given no credit towards my room or a future stay, and again had booked 3 rooms with this place! Had my family not already been checked in, we would have definitely stayed elsewhere. I work in customer service and would never want to leave my customer unsatisfied, especially when they were given wrong info by female worker at front desk. In addition, when searching this hotel multiple search engines state that this facility has a hot tub. After driving 12+ hours with children in car, we were looking forward to a relaxing evening of swimming and enjoying the so called hot tub that felt like an ice cube! To make matters worse, limited selection of hot items for breakfast, pancake machine broken. Waste of my $$ and will never stay at a Holiday Inn Express again
This is a fine location right off of 95 if you are on a road trip (as we were, heading north from FL) or looking for a reasonably priced location (under $100) near Savannah. Room was clean and nice, staff was friendly, breakfast was the usual with several hot items (except sausage was way over cooked). The Local restaurant was recommended to us by the staff, and it was as tasty as promised, with lots of Low Country specialties (fried oysters were superb).
The stay was an overnight on a long road trip. The check in at the front desk was ok but didn't get greeted like a Spire member. I had booked the room with points and at first they were charging my credit card. I had to tell her it was on points. She said oh ok, and put it on points. I booked the room in advance and she should have known that. My niece felt that the beds were too soft. Overall a good overnight stay. Very close to downtown Savannah.
We stopped here for the night on our way home from Florida to New York. This is the first Holiday Inn Express we ever tried and I must say I was very impressed. The staff was very pleasant and attentive. The hotel is super clean and our room was excellent. I highly recommend this hotel.
Close to I 95, but far enough away to avoid traffic noise. Wannie, night manager, checked me in quickly, accommodated type room I wanted, advised on restaurant....very efficient/friendly. Room was clean w. comfortable bed. Good breakfast, hot food, multiple choices. Not the cheapest around, but you get your money's worth here. Happy trails.
This hotel is about average for a HIE. There were a few issues I did not like about this hotel, not show stoppers, but not bad enough that I won't stay here again. The Good: ~~About Halfway between Savannah and Ft. Stewart. ~~Plenty of food and stuff in the area. ~~Comfy beds and pillows, as expected of IHG. ~~Great coffee in AM. The Bad: ~~When we arrived, the computer system was down so we were unable to check in for almost an hour. ~~I was placed in a handicap room, which is no big deal, but the shower head (one of my pet peeves) was one that was meant to be used mostly in hand, had one of those bars where the shower head could be raised and lowered easily. The issue is that for a non-handicap person who likes taking regular showers, I had to rig the head so it would just fall and point back at the wall it was connected to. I ended up strapping the hose to the bar it slides up and down on. It was enough to keep the shower head pointing in a good angle for normal showering. Once this was done, shower head was ok! ~~This is either a noisy hotel or I had really noisy neighbors. Heard TV's all night, people talking pretty loudly in the hall, doors slamming all night...not the quietest hotel I have been too. ~~I was unable to connect one of my computers(gov) to their network. I suspect it was the settings on the computer but I have never had issues at any other hotel. Internet was pretty slow on the other computer(civ). ~~ This HIE has the usual HIE breakfast menu. Not really bad but blahhhh. Overall, not a bad stay, not the worst hotel, but nothing out of the ordinary to make me say "Wow!".
