I went to take a swim at 8:00 PM. I knew the pool closed at 9 PM. I got out of the pool a couple minutes before nine tiled off and exactly at 9 PM. I tried to get back into the hotel. My door card did not work I went to the main gate and it was locked by key. I could not get out of the pool area and I could not get back into the pool. I beat on the door, but the lobby is on the opposite side of the pool and no one checked the pool before locking the doors. I am disabled. There was no way that I was able to get out out of that pool area I had to stand and wait for someone to walk down the hallway and beaten screen. Another customer saw me and he tried to open the door for me and the key card would not let him open the door from the inside and I could not open it from the outside. This is extremely dangerous and unsafe .He went and got an employee who came to the door and unlocked it while she was on her cell phone. She did not say she was sorry or anything. She just walked away after opening the door. I was very unhappy with this. It was 9:40 pm before I got back in. I am very unhappy with this experience.

The front desk was very pleasant at checkin. The room was clean and spacious. The bed was very comfortable. Morning breakfast was good and well attended to. When leaving the hotel in the morning even the cleaning staff up and down the halls greeted us, wished us safe travels and invited us back! This will definitely be my sleepover on my usual trip to Florida.

Love other HIs - this one, not so much.

This was our 8th (9th?) Holiday Inn (HI) - loved the rest, this one not so much. Short version: find another hotel in the area, or go to a different HI. The room was iffy - just seemed dingy/outdated compared to the rest. Carpet had a few dark sticky spots. There were stains above the bed :( -- one side of the frame was also a bit broken and leaned to one side. The room was also noisy. The remote for the curtain did not work and it was stuck half way. The other HIs had amazing breakfast! This one did not. The woman in charge of the food simply didn't want to be there. People kept asking for pancakes an hour before closing and she decided to just unplug the machine instead of swapping the batter pouch. The usual things (yogurts, omelettes, egg whites, etc were all non existent - not consumed, just not there). The cereal selection was not the same as others. Bathroom was very clean for what it's worth! It seemed they had nice electric chargers if you drive an EV (our friend said they were very fast) In general, less friendly staff all around compared to other Holiday Inns. People swearing in the lobby. We loved HIs, and most/all have been superb. I don't know how this location is part of the franchise.
