This hotel is lovely; our room was stunning with the loveliest bathroom and most comfortable bed I’ve ever had in a hotel. We had a balcony, problem was it overlooked the parking lot of the shopping mall the hotel is located in, a busy road at a busy junction and two more shopping malls across the street. Hardly picturesque! It may have been because we used Marriott points that we didn’t get a room at the other side of the hotel but if I was paying I’d want to make sure I didn’t get a room at the front. Continental breakfast was included but staff seemed to resent providing it. We had to keep asking for more fruit etc to be put out. We rented bikes from the hotel for about $10 and cycled all over the island. It was great. A very uninteresting looking restaurant in the mall next to the hotel, called Eat Here turned out to be incredible. By far the best meal we had on the trip.
First off let me say the two bedroom room that we stayed in was the most beautiful hotel room I have ever seen! We checked in and were treated to a welcome beverage, nice touch! They walked us over to our room in the outbuilding, the elevator did not work so we had to take the stairs. The woman taking us to the room accidentally took us to an occupied room first so back up the stairs to the correct room. She gave us a bottle of champagne for the trouble, again nice touch! Where the but...comes in, this is an upscale property and the prices reflect that. Unfortunately we were put in a room next to probably 8 college aged kids who were up late, partying and playing music and the walls were paper thin. Standing in the room my kids were in you could hear everything! I finally called the front desk around 11pm and he came to the room. The noise stopped for a bit but then resumed and continued until 1am but by then I was too tired to do anything about it. I recommend this hotel and would stay here again but you might want earplugs!
We loved this new hotel. Everything about it is very nice it is brand new and clean with many great amenities. It is in the heart of things and you could walk to many good locations. The staff are not great or helpful but hopefully that will change. You do get a small continental breakfast that is just right.
We had Sunday brunch in their dining room. Had a nice table outside overlooking the pool, intra coastal and bay. Food was good and they had a bit of a different menu with some flair! Service was good and it wasn't crowded. Once word gets out, things may change.
Minute you walk in delicious wood smoking smell, very nice bar and restaurant in and outside. Small but very interesting menu, food and service were great. We had best outdoor table facing marina, pool and bay. Bit pricey but worth it. Checkout rooms there are 37 with 2 bedrooms and kitchen/dining designer quality.
AMAZING property located in a convenient part of Anna Maria Island. Autograph scores big time with this new addition to their collection. Staff is super friendly and helpful. About a 5 minute walk to the beach-of which you can then walk the entire island on soft sand and clean Gulf water. Small cafe and a few pubs also within walking distance. Restaurant on site, though didn’t visit (did smell amazing however). Clean, warm (84 degree) large pool on site. If you’re looking for superb accommodations on this stunning island don’t look any further book your stay at The Waterline. Oh and the toiletries (shampoo etc) are some of the best have experienced yet......enjoy!
We also were very excited to know that a Marriott Hotel was coming to Anna Maria. We are planning our daughters Wedding for March and although the venue is booked we were researching accomodation, restaurants etc for our guests coming to town for the occasion. The hotel was not at all busy so we got a great rate, including Senior discount which we love, so were still happy with our room overlooking the car park. The 2 bedroon 2 bath Suite we had was massive and will comforable sleep 8 if required, beautifully decorated and very comfortable with lovely towels bathrobe and linens. All the staff were great, helpful and knowledgeable and went the extra mile as they did have the time to. The restaurant was lively with a great atmosphere and the food and wine very good. We will definitely be recommending a stay to all family and friends.
We have been coming to Anna Maria for years and was so excited to hear that a Marriott was being built on the island; needless to say, I reserved rooms soon after I heard the place had opened. We spent the weekend here with my daughter, her husband and their two kids. My husband and I with our grandkids arrived early and got the grand tour of the hotel and our upgraded suite - I must say the decor, the kitchen, balcony, etc., were all terrific and we were more than a bit impressed by everything. The first thing that upset us all was we had told my daughter and son-in-law that we had gotten mimosas upon arrival so, when they arrived, my son-in-law asked for his mimosa and the receptionist (who, I might add, was the same girl who spent close to an hour showing us everything around the hotel, etc.) acted like she never saw us before and said "that's only for guests" - I was so embarrassed for my son-in-law and thought that remark was way out of line. The other thing which was a bit of a turnoff was when we went to bed, my side of the bed either had coffee (or something else which I wouldn't even want to imagine what) had coffee running down the side of the sheet and bed and on the floor. My husband called (at midnight) to complain about both these issues and they were resolved so no issue there but I would have to question why the person cleaning the room didn't notice all that coffee on everything. Aside from that, this is a beautiful hotel in close proximity to everything and we would probably return but it is a bit disconcerting that we were treated as such when they didn't think we 'belonged there". Hone up on those interpersonal skills.
Stayed for 3 nights with cold weather, so didn't get to the beach. The rooms are two bedroom suites, and perhaps the best decor I have seen, just beautiful! The restaurant isn't open for breakfast yet, or on Monday and the menu is quite limited. However, two great restaurants in walking distance, Feast and Eat Here. The staff try very hard, but have to keep apologizing for things not quite ready yet, e.g. business center. When they get all the kinks out, this will be a lovely place for families in good weather.
Kiley (Manager) and Maria were super friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable. There is so much to check out, wish I was here for play and not just business! Great location and the rooms are nicely and uniquely appointed. I will be back for sure :)
