The first impression I got from this hotel was that it was very clean. It also seems to be quite modern. The location is also good with a small super market in the same building on the ground floor and many shops, restaurants, and bars within easy walking distance. The breakfast buffet had a good selection of high quality food. I would recommend getting breakfast included in your rate since it is JPY 1,800 if you add it on separately. Wi-fi was free and worked well.
This is a comfortable hotel located right next to the Tanukikoji shopping street with many good restaurants and shops. We stayed 3 to a room & it was spacious enough for us. Good service especially with a local phone with data provided. Highly recommended.
Convenient location 5-10 minutes walk away from the main shopping and dinning area in downtown Sapporo, and Odori subway station. Excellent and prompt service from staff. The room was provided with a smartphone equipped with data and GPS which aided us in our travels around Sapporo. Comfortable and clean room.
Me and my wife did stay at Leopalace-Sapporo from 9th. July to 15th. July 2016. At the fornt desk not many speaks English but there was one person who speaks English and with his help I have no problem to roam around all the notable tourist places in and Sapporo. Room was quite specious by Japan standard and their cleanliness compares to none. Big spread of breakfast including Japanese and continental. All in all a value for money place in central Sapporo where most tourist attractions are within walking distance . . .
I booked this hotel with 3 nights + air conditioner. My room has a two floor which first floor has one bed and bathroom, TV, wardrobe, refrigerator and second floor has two single bed. Receptionist are nice and quick check-in process. Family mart is near this hotel with an great ice-cream. This hotel is not far from tanuki koji area. However, the location of leopalace hotel will take about 10 minitues from neartest train station (ST, NIshijuicchome) or odori park.
We stayed at this hotel as part of our Japan visit with 4 other familiers. We got a duplex room. There was a single bed downstairs, a decent size closet , tea making facilities and a toilet and a bathtub. The room was clean and on the second floor there two queen bed and a half bath.We were satisfied with the facilities although handling the heater/aircond and the ioniser was quite confusing at first as everything was in japanese. We used this hotel as a base for our kiroro ski resort. We did not walk anywhere as we had arranged our own transport so i cant comment much on the locality. It was freezing cold and snowing during our visit. One pleasant surprise was that there was a microwave at our floor which was good for us as we can re heat our food. For the price and comfort and also the wi fi facilities i would recommend this hotel.
Stayed in Feb 2016 for Sapporo Snow Festival in Odori Park which is a short walk from hotel. Hotel is located in a quiet street, not far from Pole Town (underground shopping mall). Room size is of a Japanese standard. But the main thing is it's quiet, clean & comfortable. Couldn't get the non-smoking room but somehow it showed almost negligible smell. Hotel staff were friendly and English speaking. May consider staying here again next time in Sapporo.
I was initially a little concerned (despite favourable reviews here on TA) about what to expect at the Hotel, due to the very cheap rates, but it was extraordinary, in that the staff couldn't do enough for us to ensure we had an enjoyable stay. I had originally booked one room (at around $A100.00 a night) for 3 of us (Missus, self and our 16YO daughter), but after slogging around Hokkaido for the previous 2 weeks sharing accom with 3 of us in one confined space, I asked the reception staff if it was possible to provide us with 2 rooms (1 x single, and 1 x double) for the 2 nights we were staying. They didn't bat an eyelid, and arranged it at no extra cost for us because "we're not that busy anyway, so you can have two rooms for the price of one". I have never experienced this level of service anywhere before, and the rooms were very comfortable and spacious. Daughter was happy...she could watch whatever she wanted, without Dad harassing her. The missus and I could get up to whatever we wanted without having to dedicate ourselves to ensuring daughter was content. Bonus. I have nothing but praise for the good folk at the Hotel Leopalace as they really do go the extra mile to ensure that their patrons are looked after. I wouldn't expect the same level of room allocation any other time, but for us, this particular visit convinced us to lob there again, next time we're in Sapporo. Cheers.
We booked a Maisonette room for our stay and we love it! Both levels have attached bathroom, beds, television sets, wardrobes which is a great convenience for guests! It is walking distance to Tanuki Koji shopping district so no worry about meals! There is a laundry area for guests on the 9th floor which is a great service.
