A most enjoyable four-night stay. So much to like - delicious free ramen every evening across mall at Dormy Premium, hot spring onsen-used nine times, free coffee in lobby a.m. and p.m., location inside pedestrian mall convenient for-shopping, eating, walking on rainy day, friendly, efficient staff, room itself-comfortable bed, spacious enough for one person, exceptionally clean, well-lighted, 10th floor view of Ferris Wheel, room wear of shirt and pants better than other hotels' robe only, free departure taxi ride to Sapporo station. In a city with many excellent hotels (I've stayed in three others), Dormy Inn is tops,

The hotel is about 20 minutes walk from the JR station. It is however a nice walk as it is city area with lots to see along the way. The hotel entrance is in the typical Japanese sheltered street shopping area. It is convenient and walking distance to the night life area. There is 2 Dormy which entrances are right opposite each other. The onsen area is good and you can chose to use any of the 2 onsen. The free ramen for supper is always a great Dormy brand hospitality. Dormy is one of my favorite local japanese brand.

Being already familiar with Dormy Inn, I was surprised with the size of the room here as it is enough for one medium sized luggage. Nonetheless, there are some issues with the hotel which is not convenient but I believed it is due to the infrastructure of the hotel and they can’t be faulted for this. Firstly, the parking is not within the hotel but just 2 mins walk to the more premium Dormy Inn Premium Sapporo which is just across and the same with the in house restaurant. The public spa (bath) is also quite small and you have to watch the time you bath. Location wise , it’s right in the tourist area within the shopping belt and between Odori Park making it a good location for the Snow Festival as it is less than 15 mins walk away. Plenty of places to eat and to buy snacks which make this a great tourist hotel

Room Very tiny, but quite functional with all the amenities including room wear. Noise insulation is a bit lacking, so you can hear people chatting outside. For two occupants, it'll feel a little cramped (and a little awkward using the bathroom due to aforementioned lack of noise insulation), but it's fine for an overnight stay or two. Food Great breakfast buffet. You may have to wait 5 min or so, but the turnover is quick. We recommend making a beeline for the DIY seafood donburi. They also offer a regional yakult-like (probiotic) drink, which we found very tasty. Facilities For accommodations of this price range (though we overheard Japanese businessmen saying the prices dropped after the earthquake earlier this year (2018)), the hot springs setup is quite decent and even had a sauna, as well as a coin-operated washers/dryers. The lobby offers free coffee. The "premium" Dormy Inn across the shopping avenue also offers a free late-night snack (ramen) if you managed to avoid stuffing yourself on local food. They'll also give you free instant noodles if you opt not to have room service as part of their sustainability initiative. Do take advantage of the free taxi rides to Sapporo station--you have to reserve the ride 30min in advance. They leave on the hour and a the half-hour mark, but the driver may call on you early. It's not a horribly long walk to the train station, but with heavy souvenir-laden luggage in tow, you'll want to save your energy in the wintertime for sure. Overall, especially at current prices, this hotel is hard to bet in terms of location and amenities.

Small (tiny) room but clean and good facilities. Decent public bath - two pools and two tubs male side, two pools female side, sauna - Spanish tapas bar opposite and Orrizonte less than 100m away. Covered walkway all the way to the underground pedestrian areas and access to the train station so no problem if the weather is grotty and you forgot your clothes.

Very clean rooms and in a very good location downtown in shopping district. The rooms are extremely small but look great. Breakfast is included and they serve something for everyone. You do need to cross street to eat breakfast at main hotel. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

This hotel is in good location, right in the center of shopping area. Very easy to get to either by train or airport bus. Very good service with fast check in and hastleless check out. Buffet breakfast is very worth with variety of western and asian food for selection. Room is very comfortable and clean though not so spacious. Onsen facility on the property is a plus.

This hotel is a 20-minute walk from Sapporo Station using the underground walkway--look for the sign on the right that says "Tanuki-koji 4-5-6-7 chome." After you go above ground you have to walk a few blocks in the covered walkway and it is between 6- and 7-chome. We had a tiny double room but it was fine for two nights. We love the baths and breakfast at Dormy Inn. The "egg tart" was incredible. We were able to cross the street to use the baths at the Premium side. Although it was December, we were able to cross to the other side without overcoats since it's a 5-second walk. Seriously, this is something I wondered about before staying here. The lounge on the Premium side is very spacious and has comfy chairs and a TV, while the Annex side doesn't have a lounge--just a living room type arrangement in the lobby. However, the Annex had a wonderful free coffee machine. There is a Family Mart nearby, and it is very convenient to the subway and streetcar.

Hotel located at Tenkoji shopping street and with onsen facilities. Stayed at deluxe twin room which can stay for 3 adults. Free ramen for supper and 24 hours free coffee service. Parking is available, 1500 yen for a day.

I'm writing a late review as I stayed here in August for a week. Dormy Inn is my favorite hotel franchise, and this location didn't disappoint, even with it being the "annex". First of all, I love the camping/outdoors theme of the hotel. Not all the Dormy Inn hotels have this theme and I think it adds an extra ambience. The rooms are brighter and more decorated than the Shibuya location I stayed at. There's a cool stain glass sort of window and everything is a pine wood texture. I stayed on the top floor (I think it was 10th) which had a decent view of Sapporo. I felt the room was quite spacious. I did find it a bit annoying at night and early morning you'd hear all the Korean tourists yelling at each other in the hall and knocking loudly on each other's doors. The best part of the hotel was the spa. I was never into taking baths or spa experiences, but I changed my mind after staying here. The spa is great for body aches after a long day of walking. There's a changing room with lockers and small amenities like hair ties, q-tips, shower caps..etc. They have shower stalls as well with Tsubaki shampoo (not sure why the individual rooms use different shampoos). This location's spa is much more upscale. The bath area has stone/rock floors and they play relaxing music inside. There's a hot bath and a cold bath, and a sauna as well, but I preferred the bath. I looked forward every day to the spa. If you go during off-hours, you can usually have the whole place to yourself for awhile. Only thing that surprised me about the hotel was that the staff didn't really speak English. It wasn't a huge deal, as I was able to converse with them in basic Japanese. They also have everything printed out in a pamphlet in English. The staff are really helpful, they even broke a 10000yen bill for me into smaller bills. The hotel is located in Tanuki-koji, which is a very touristy shopping arcade strip. It was a bit far from the stations I needed to be near, but I think the location was still very convenient. There's a small FamilyMart right across the arcade should you need quick snacks or food. There are also a lot of drug stores for your beauty needs, and restaurants if you're hungry.
