I have been staying in Cross Hotel Sapporo for over twenty times during the past 5 years, whenever I come to Hokkaido, will make sure I could have 2 to 3 days in Sapporo so that I could stay at Cross Hotel. The location of the hotel is perfect, close to JR station (can make sure of the underground walkway if weather is not on your side!) and most of the interesting places and malls are all within walking distance, just too convenient! Staff at the front desk are extremely polite, helpful and patience. Guests can enjoy free drinks at the Lounge on 2/F every afternoon. The Public Bath at the top floor is another bonus for the guests who are entitled to use. Recently I stayed in the newly renovated floor, 17/F Cross Floor, the room is more spacious than the previous Double Room and the washroom is big enough to allow my husband and myself to use at the same time. Thank you very much !
The location is perfect - directly in the center and just 5min walk from JR-Station. The rooms are clean, good size and have excellent beds. The breakfast has a wide selection of western and japanese dishes. Some of the products are special from Hokkaido, and some are also homemade. The only point to improve is the service at reception and concierge. They should be more nice and polite to guests and care for them (they were correct, but cold) and the concierege was not very helpful. I am sure they could do it better!!!
The hotel is located near lots of restaurants. We stayed for three nights during the Rugby World Cup and enjoyed the free early evening bar. During our trip we stayed In eight different hotels and the Cross had one of the best breakfasts.
I stayed this hotel for 2 nights during my business trip to Hokkaido. It is centrally located and in walking distance to Susukino, Taniuki yokocho and other places, well at least when the weather is decent. The room was very clean and stylish. They have a communal bath on the top floor which gives you a great view of the city. The unit bath in the room is not so great so definitely recommend going upstairs although it feels weird walking in the corridor in bathrobe and towel unless you are used to Japanese hotel style. Overall good place to stay would go back there.
We stayed here during the Rugby World Cup games and had a thoroughly enjoyable time. The room was very comfortable and had more than enough room for us. The location is easy to find from the station, but less so when coming back from a different direction. It is best to take some form of map out with you! However, it is very well located for many of the Sapporo sites. The breakfast was great and the well presented bar food delicious. The free drinks during happy hour made it even better.
Only a matter of minutes walk from Sapporo station, this hotel was modern, very clean, well equipped and very convenient. The hotel is also in easy walking distance to the entertainment district. We didn’t dine on premise - with so many dining choices in the surrounding streets, why stay in! We did however enjoy the complimentary evening guest drinks most days (4pm - 7pm with last drink call at 6.30pm). A great start to each evening. The only negative was the air conditioning in the room - even on the coldest setting it was still a bit warm for us at night. That’s it though. Everything else was fabulous and I would definitely recommend this hotel.
My husband and I joined a Gourmet Tour from 17-22 Aug 2019. When we returned to Sapporo, we stayed at Cross Hotel for 2 more nights before returning home. It was my second time staying at Cross Hotel. Check-in process was very smooth. Staff at Reception and Bar were all friendly and helpful. I like the hotel's location, as it's midway between JR Sapporo station and Susukino. The in-room Wifi was fast. TV were modern and had Youtube besides TV channels. All staying guests could enjoy free alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks (limited to 3) at the Bar from 4pm to 7pm. The bathroom and toilet occupied almost half the space of the Hip room. This was also what I noted from my last stay. Overall, I like Cross Hotel, due to its convenient location, friendly and helpful staff, and will recommend to those who visit Sapporo.
Cross Hotel Sapporo is like a welcoming 21st century inn. Our room was small but comfortable, and the bathroom was surprisingly large. Daily amenities were provided and there was even a refrigerator for convenience Location was perfect, an easy and direct five minute walk from Sapporo Station, and amidst a number of shops and restaurants. The Concierge and staff were very attentive and helpful, and each evening a complimentary drink in the Lounge offered time to relax, reflect, and plan— another feature of the Cross Hotel hospitality.
This is our last stop in Hokkaido and it gave us a perfect memorable end. We stayed at the Cross Osaka and knew this was the right hotel for us with chic beautiful décor. They offered hotel guests with free cocktails every day, and we had a free buffet breakfast thanks to Expedia’s VIP reward – there's a great variety of food. The public hot springs bath on the top floor had a great view. Love Cross!
Fantastic location. Super clean and spacious room. There is happy hour with free flow drinks from 4pm to 7pm at lounge which hardly can get in other hotel. The staff is friendly with English speaking. The front desk even help to make a reservation for our dinner.
