The room was spacious with a basic kitchen. The big problem of the room was the level of noise coming from outside. There should be some work to do installing better noise cancelling windows. Only for this reason I am not willing to go back to this hotel. In general the hotel facilities were very good, sauna, pool, gym, restaurant, etc. The exit from the room was always without light, this is very common in Brazil hotels, in order to save electricity. I had to walk some meters in the dark before the movement sensor turned on the lights… kind of uncomfortable to be in the dark.
The hotel is unquestionably an Accor standard hotel. You know what to expect. It's comfortable, clean and spacious. This particular Mercure is undergoing some renovations on the outside which have given it a bit of a downward look. Hope this can be solved quickly. It is very well located for the business traveler but not so good for the regular tourist visitor.
Describe the service you experienced: I experienced a very good service. Tell us how you liked the room: The room is very comfortable. Say what you liked best & least: Everything is good. The breakfast could be included.
There aren't that many hotel options in this area and this is probably the one that offers the best price quality ratio. Rooms are large and comfortable, with enough furniture and ammenities for a long stay (kitchenette, desk, large closet). Service is friendly, although it quite be more efficient. Design and confort in common areas is modern and attractive, but seems to be too small to acommodate all guests at peak hours, such as breakfast time.
The hotel has the quality that I expect of Mercure, but the place around the hotel has a lot of building constructions. Lot of trucks and cranes even at night. It´s not easy to sleep with this noise. Be prapered to wake up early too. At seven, noise come back.
I used to stay in this hotel and I have already done one review. During this last visit I got quite impress with the new room that I stayed. Everything new, comfortable and cool. I do recommend this hotel. Its location is also really good.
I slept in Mercure hotel for 4 nights. the room is big, and well equipped you have a mini kitchen and mini bar with good local beer. the bed is comfortable. breakfast was rich and tasty. I enjoyed it. I had dinner at one of the nights in the hotel restaurants. it was good. few steps from the hotel there's a large shopping centre where you can find anything you need. my only problem was the noise outside. outside the room door and noise from the street window. I had to wear earplugs to survive the night without waking up.
My stay at Mercure was a month long. The hotel staff was warm enough but the amenities were not up to the mark. The rooms were fashioned in a old style way and lighting was dim. Try to take room above 10th as they are far better. The hotel does not have a power backup and gym had too little equipment. The plus point was it was near to corporate offices and many small eateries
The hotel itself is very appealing and clean with friendly and helpful staff. Both the room and bathroom are clean and the bed is quite comfortable. Food at the hotel is reasonably priced and quite good, especially the dinner. I tried the picanha with garlic and it turned out a lot better than I expected.
I stayed at Mercure Nações Unidas for one night. The staff was very pleasant and helpful (special thanks to Valmir) and our room was quite big and clean. The hotel is very close to visa location (USA's consulate) and there are a lot of good restaurants nearby. My only complain is that the hotel is been renovated and there was construction noises at 9 AM. Its a good hotel, for a very good price. I would recommend!
