We stayed at Petit Palace for a portion of our honeymoon while in Santorini. Upon arrival, you are immediately wowed by the spectacular view of the island, while still enjoying some seclusion from the bustle of the island. You are immediately greeted by the staff with the endearing hospitality so special to Greece. Aside from the stunning views, the hotel is lovely with clean and elegant rooms, a beautiful pool, dining area, and relaxing lounge. The reception staff provided excellent restaurant reviews - please take them up on this!! Our favorite place in Santorini was an inland town called Pyrgos; there in an incredible cocktail bar and restaurant at the top of the castle called Botargo. An absolute must visit! The food and drink served at the hotel were nothing short of fantastic, too. Sofia and her spa team are some of the most kind and helpful people we met while in Greece. We did the couples massage and facial treatments at sunset - needless to say it was divine! This hotel is one of the most magical places we've ever stayed. We will be back! Efcharisto!
Myself and my husband stayed at this amazing hotel for our honeymoon in August 2017. The friendliness of the staff was outstanding from the moment we arrived. From the restaurant staff, to those on reception, to the cleaners and porters, everyone went out of their way to help at all times! We stayed in the honeymoon suite which was fantastic, extremely spacious, with a jacuzzi in the bathroom and the added bonus of a private pool. We enjoyed breakfast on our terrace every morning looking out onto the amazing view of the caldera. We ate in the restaurant on our final evening of the holiday and enjoyed excellent food and great service, at a reasonable price. We used the hotel shuttle bus to travel into Thira in the evening (very handy). The local buses were also cheap and easy to use when returning after the shuttle bus had finished. All in all we enjoyed an unforgettable honeymoon at Petit Palace. We would highly recommend for a special occasion, the fabulous staff and that AMAZING view make it extra special. We hope we can return some time in the future (sooner rather than later!!)
The location of the hotel is perfect, walking distance from Fira (10 -15 minutes) being in the quiet place out of the center. The room with a balcony overlooking Caldera and the sea. The room is a little bit dark. We suggest a dinner in the restaurant, the food is of a very good quality with a nice touch from the chef. The breakfast was not at the same level.
This is a breathtaking hotel from the moment you enter the grounds your eyes cannot comprehend the spectacular view. It's located on the Caldera with a fantastic view of the Volcano and sunsets (during August as the sun is lower). All members of staff are really friendly but not intrusive and provide excellent service. We were welcomed by Carola in the stunning lounge/sundeck with a glass of bubbly and she provided us with an initial overview of things they could offer to enhance our visit to Santorini. Even though we had already booked via our travel agent, a day tour, we decided to purchase a recommended afternoon boat trip with Caldera Yachts. We were not disappointed as this felt quite exclusive with no more than 14 people on it. If you get a chance, do this, we took some amazing pictures of the sunset from the yacht without fighting any crowds in Oia for a spot. We didn't have a room with a private pool, although these did look nice. We were able to spend time around the main pool which was never overly busy. When relaxing around the pool taking in the sunshine and the amazing view, Sophia offered complementary 15 minute facials/massages which culminated in us booking a dual his and hers sunset hot stone massage on beds overlooking the Caldera (and just next to our room 109). The girls doing the massages, Dimitra and Emma were excellent. Breakfasts needed to be preordered and you can have them on your balcony (for a small additional charge) which we took advantage of once but to be honest the view from the breakfast area was stunning so we ate breakfast there for the rest of our stay. Would return in a heartbeat!! Just amazing.
We stayed here for ten nights for part of our honeymoon and loved this hotel and how welcome you are made to feel. The hotel shuttle bus in to Fira town was handy. We would often be in town after the last shuttle bus back to the hotel and get a taxi back which was 8 euros. Special thanks to Nefeli on reception, she is lovely and always happy to help. I suffer from heat rash and was after a certain type of suncream and Nefeli rang round all the pharmacies to see if anyone had it or something similar, as well as booking a few dinner reservations for us. The room was in style of cave and very cool and comfortable. We had lunch a couple of times at the hotel and the food was really good. The breakfasts are amazing and for a little extra you could eat on your balcony which I would recommend doing as the view from the room overlooking the volcano and sea is stunning. The breakfasts had several different options and the honeymoon breakfast included a glass of fizz. There is a small pool bar and when we were there Harris worked on the bar.. he was always ready to help if anyone wanted to move the sun beds etc. The people who work in this hotel are what make it so special... not just the view!.
My partner each had amazing massage sessions with our therapists: Sofia and Michaella. We were outside under a canopy with the view that you see pictured here. I only wish it never ended. Both Michaella and Sofia were attentive to what each of us needed. I highly recommend this hotel and the spa services.
This place was like no other hotel I have seen or heard about. The view from the Petit Maison room makes you feel like you're sitting in the clouds. If you're going on your honeymoon, splurging for this hotel is well worth it - you will rarely get a chance to experience something like this anywhere else. It is so amazing, people from all over, park their cars near the entrance of the hotel only to catch a glimpse of the sunset that you have front row seats to from your personal balcony. Pro Tip #1 - if you want to save a few bucks, feel free not to take the breakfast. Though I'm sure the hotels breakfast is great, they are charging 15 euros per person. You're better off going across the street and getting some authentic Greek pastries for half that price. Pro Tip #2 - one of the huge benefits of this hotel is that it is walking distance from the Santos Winery. That is a co-op of all wineries on Santorini and well worth the trip. Just be cautious on your walk as Greek drivers aren't the most prudent in the world and the streets don't have sidewalks.
We spent 3 nights at the hotel. The service is impeccable. The staff happy provided anything we needed, from airport transfers, to restaurant recommendations. Everyone is wonderful. As mentioned in other reviews, the view is spectacular from the hotel. It never gets old. The rooms themselves, though are dated. The room comes off a bit dark and needs some updating. Overall, I had a great experience and would stay again.
I thought the staff did a great job at Petit Palace. My husband and I were on our honeymoon and stayed here for a few nights. The food was tasty. The views- you can't beat. The pool was wonderful. The room clean and spacious with a nice balcony with beautiful views of the sunset.
We spent our first night in Santorini at the Petit Place due to its location near Fira as well as the Santos winery and for the view across the Caldera as we wanted to see the sunset. The view on arrival was just breath taking and brought a tear to my eye it was so beautiful. The welcome from the reception was fantastic and very informative and we were given a welcome drinks. Our room was beautiful was a lovely big bath and a nice bedroom area. The main thing was our beautiful terrace which had a small seating area but just the most incredible view. The pool area was lovely and very relaxing again with the just stunning view. We walked to the Santos winery from the hotel which took us about 15 minutes and did a brilliant wine tasting. In the evening the hotel ordered us a taxi into Fire which cost about 10 Euros. The best bit was breakfast on the balcony the next morning. We had tons and tons of food which was gorgeous and just had and had a very leisurely breakfast looking out across the ocean. It was a beautiful welcome to Santorini and we had a fantastic one night stay.
