Nice hotel, reasonable prices and friendly staff. Would recommend to everyone who wants to enjoy Santorini.the nice part of this hotel is that the staff will help you to get whatever you need and wherever you want to go.
We are super thankful our visit at Orizontes Hotel & Villas because of great staff! We got the best service from Katerine from desk. She was helpful, really good organizer and welcoming person. Special thank to Areti! Coctails you made were super! and she is so good with organizing too. She knows how to decorate pool area! still love the atmosphere. And she keeps on smiling, the best! And one thing from the meny, we loved it. Special thanks to Maria and Emil, you are great too!
The views are spectacular! I was shocked when I arrived to stay here! The staff was very nice and they went over and beyond by calling the company we rented ATVs our from to drop them off at the hotel. The breakfast was so good! They could use some updating but it didn't matter to me because I was out most of the day and we had a pretty good sized room with great view! Also it close to many cute towns to explore!
We loved our stay at Orizontes Hotel and Villas, I loved the position, great view for the amazing sunsets, ocean views were gorgeous, very peaceful and laidback, still close enough to all surrounding areas, staff were beautiful and have made some lovely friends, pool is devine, room was very homely which I loved, food was delicious, could not fault a thing with this hotel, I am glad I found it I will be back
Had a very enjoyable stay at Orizontes Hotel - stayed in room 200. The room was spacious and the balcony offered a lovely view of Fira and the southern end of the island. Air-conditioning worked well and the bathroom was large. TV worked. Our room safe did not lock, but the hotel staff let us use the hotel's main safe to store our valuables during our stay. The only downside of the room was that you could hear other guests' voices easily - no matter what the hour. I consider this property to be a tourist level hotel. Selected this hotel for its central location to get around the island. I should add we had a rental car for our time on Santorini, which enabled us to go out whenever and wherever we wanted. Staff were extremely professional, kind and helpful. The breakfast buffet was good and had enough of a selection of both hot and cold items. The pool and deck area are amazing - offering incredible views of the island and surrounding vineyards. Easy 10 min. walk to the charming hill town of Pyrgos. Thanks for a wonderful stay!
Our room had: Faulty air conditioning Broken chair No towels Hotel staff: Rude Dismissive of guests complaints Harassing towards guests Un- cooperative Hotel Co-Owner: Threatened us to not take the matter further with our grievances The MOST HORRIBLE hotel experience ever! Air conditions don't work (either too cold or just dead) and the staff does not bother coming up with a solution. This is our third night at Orizontes and we are freezing in our room. The hotel staff does not fix the AC nor do they give a new room. They are rude and un-apologetic! Mr. GREGORY, the co-owner of the hotel, couldn't care less about the situation. He in fact intimidated us not to report the matter further. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND IT TO ANYONE!
We went there for 3 nights ....when we went to the room on the third level it was soooo hot ... We turned on the AC for 90 mins and it was still sooo hot .... So after 5 hours of travelling we couldn't sleep!! We went down and took another room that was in the first floor ... it was better, but it was an upgrade and they charges us 90 extra 💶 euros. When we checked out they took 13 euro as extra charges for some "drinks" although we didn't order anything .... Instead of relaxing we got angry ...DON'T GO THERE!!! NO SLEEPERS ...NO TOOTHBRUSHS....NO.,. THIS IS NOT A 5 STARS HOTELS ...MAYBE 2 MAXIMUM .,...
We unexpectedly went to Santorini and this hotel was part of the package we bought from a couple who could not go at the last minute. We were very pleased- the location was perfect - 10 minutes from south and west beaches, 15 min from Fira, 30 minutes from Oia. If staying here, it really is best to rent a car so you have flexibility to get around. Prygos is a lovely village and very quiet. The pool is amazing. Our room was an upgraded one with a balcony facing the water and Fira. Very nice and clean. The loft bedroom was not ideal for us - we are tall and kept hitting our heads on the rounded ceilings. I did not like the ladder like steps to the loft either but did get used to it by the third day. It was nice to have a sitting area and a small kitchen with fridge. Room was very clean. Breakfast was included - there were a lot of choices. Only negative were flies that kept buzzing around the food. The staff tries to be very helpful and gave us lots of suggestions for restaurants, directions etc. Eleni at the front desk and Maria in the restaurant get special recognition for being so helpful. Christina on the tour desk was also very friendly and set us up with a sunset cruise which was really fun. Overall, I could not have planned a better trip nor chosen a more ideal location. The views from the pool deck and our balcony were spectacular.
The bed sheet was dirty as if it didn't wash, blood sting can be seen on the bed sheet. Louse bite all over my thigh after sleeping in the dirty bed. The bathroom hygiene was bad. Many flies in the bathroom and room. Air conditioning was weak in some of the rooms. Staff blaming the poor quality of service as if the fault of customers.
This quiet hotel is in an excellent location, away from the hustle and bustle of busy resorts but within easy access. Bus service is great and the hotel will arrange any transport at a reasonable cost. There is a free shuttle down to a fantastic beach and the hotel has really comfy loungers with free towels, changing facilities and shower. Great bars and choice of food. The rooms are well serviced and clean with good beds, fridge and tv. Hairdryer in bathroom. The staff are fantastic - very welcoming and happy to help. We (family group of 5) stayed twice on either side of a trip to another island (3 nights in total) and I cannot find a negative thing to say about them. Areti in the restaurant and bar was so great and made us so welcome - she was an expert cocktail maker and prepared her own fruit purees and even created one of our group her own cocktail. We had snack lunches and one meal at the hotel, all were good and the prices comparable to many of the restaurants. The pool area is lovely with comfy big bed loungers and with the hotel located on a high point of the island the views are spectacular! We were there early/mid June and it was quiet but we got the feel that it would never feel too crowded. It is located on the edge of Pyrgos, a beautiful village where you can easily spend a day, lots of eatiers from basic to top-class. There is also a winery close to the hotel which we understand does a fantastic wine tasting tour at a reasonable price. I would have no problem recommending this hotel to couples, families (looking for a quiet trip - there is no entertainment) or groups. We loved it.
