We booked this hotel because we read reviews on US News that it was the top hotel in Santorini We booked through Expedia , for 2 adults and our 11 year old daughter When we arrived , we couldn’t easily find it , as it was on a pedestrian path Lobby was 15-20 steps under the walk way level Which is ok We were told that the hotel had a strict no child under 13 policy due to it having stayed And safety was a concern They said they tried to contact us But we were in geeece , hence not receiving phone calls. They put is in their villas katikies Our villa was located beautiful Mr Kostas who took us to our room was very nice But then we’ were told that we cannot bring our daughter to the buffet breakfast . We can order anything off their menu for room service . Which is again dissapoiting That meant we world have to split to eat breakfast Also weren’t allowed to take her to the pool at the “ main hotel “ We could use the pool at the villas though We were enticed with the beautiful jacuzzi that was with the villa But the night we checked in the water was cold and uncomfortable They did give us a cell phone to contact them 24/7 Which was a great service Our staff , Panos and Theodora were very sweet We did complain about the fact that their website doesn’t clearly state that children aren’t allowed So their manager said let’s invite you to dinner We will watch you daughter We were treated to a nice dinner with local wine , which we expected to be complimentary But we got a bill at the end of the evening The wine and dessert was complimentary So although beautiful and located amazingly in Oia We couldn’t take advantage of their facilities well
Friendly staff, superb location, excellent breakfast. Unfortunately we are assigned room 33 which doesn’t have any direct view of the Caldera, which we had booked instead. Disappointing was to discover that for the first time ever in any hotel in the world Nespresso capsules are not complimentary but charged the unreasonable amount of 3€ each...
The Katikies Hotel in Oia, Santorini certainly deserves its five star status. The view from each of its 34 rooms is incomparable and very calming. We spent three nights and four days at this hotel and enjoyed every moment of our stay. The rooms were good with convenient terraces to relax on. Breakfast was available in the room but we opted to have this by the poolside where there is a better variety. The view from the breakfast area is equally fascinating. The positives: Great breakfast Friendly staff Great view Good rooms Concierge can arrange tours (slightly expensive but well organized). For the tour of the island we booked through a travel agency just outside the hotel which charged us Euro 40 per hour (3-4 hours are enough to see the main parts of the island). For the semi-private catamaran cruise (about 5 hours) we booked through the hotel at a price of Euros 170 per person. This included transfers and lunch on board the catamaran. Comfortable bed. Good security. Staff always willing to cooperate when asked to take photos. Nice day room is provided to guests who have a late flight. The areas where improvement is required: Condensation in bathroom led to water dropping from the ceiling. Something has to be done to stop this. Showers need a small wall barrier on the floor to stop water splashing all over the place. TV channels are few. The Manager Menya, the bell boys Angelo and his mate and various other staff were always helpful. We had an enjoyable stay and certainly recommend this hotel to visitors. Munir D.
My daughter and I absolutely LOVE Katikies Hotel. The service was the best we have had in a very long time. The accommodations were to die for. Infinity pool and 3 jacuzzis right outside our door. Any and everything you could think of was taken care of for us. Special thanks to Nicholas and Mario for taking care of our heavy bags up and down all those stairs. Denny was an awesome waitress and Betsy was a great Food Manager. The entire Front Desk Staff was out of this World. My friends are already booking their stay at the hotel on my recommendation. We will be back!!!!!!!!
My husband and I stayed here for my 30th birthday. Words cannot describe the breathtaking views here. This hotel is absolutely stunning, and you just have to see it to believe it. The staff here are wonderful. The attentive service at the pool and restaurants were unlike anything I have experienced before. Donald was especially helpful and memorable. My husband and I still talk about him. The cocktails are fantastic and original. The food at the hotel was seriously impressive. Normally, I try to stay away from hotel food, and try local food, but wow the food here was amazing. I still find myself craving the sushi. The breakfast though is the best of all. They serve a huge complimentary buffet (with fresh lovely choices) and you can order off the menu for a more traditional breakfast. The coffee was top notch. Prior to arriving I was worried there may not be enough lounge chairs at the infinity pool, but I did not have any trouble considering there are 3 pools, and all with great views. It was so relaxing lounging by the pool. They had a DJ who played a fun selection of music. The hotel is the perfect walking distance to Oia shopping and sites. The room was perfect. We chose a standard room, and it was beautiful and well decorated with stunning views from the patio. Seriously could not ask for anything more. Already planning our next trip back. Save yourself some time and energy and just stay here. It does not disappoint!
Katikies team provided the best service for our one year anniversary and it was truly memorable and luxurious. The staff are very informative, helpful and kind. The hotel itself was very amazing and has the best view ever. The infinity pool was everything for us!!! Having breakfast at your own balcony with the caldera view was literally breathtaking and nothing can be compared to it. More than 5 stars !!!!
I would suggest anyone stay at this hotel! The pool here is amazing and the breakfast here was FANTASTIC! Service is also great. I literally still dream about this place! The doors on the rooms do feel a little bit fragile, but other than that, everything was amazing!
Santorini is a unique place, and it singularities usually make the visitor´s very impressed, as the breathtaking view and the elegant wineries. So if you want to go to a place like this, you will definitely need to stay in a hotel that express all Santorini is about. Kakities is what you are looking for! This hotel is a very luxurious and exquisite experience which you will never forget. First, they greet you with an ice cold white wine from a local winery, that will make your arrival extremely pleasant, specially if you arrive at the sunset! Ah, the sunset, disputed by immortals and mortals, origin of legends and myths, stage of request of weddings among other declarations blessed by the Gods. But my recommendation to you is to simply enjoy, this rare and unique beauty. To enjoy the most of it you could drink a champagne and cocktails in an infinity pool with the Caldera view. That's the most remarkable experience I've ever had! The friendly staff will help you not to worry about anything, except delightin all the great things that the most wanted island in Greece can offer! They also serve breakfast on your balcony each morning with a varied and delicious menu and the Micrasia´s restaurant is a modern and tasteful option to enjoy your evening. You are not goint to be disappointed at all! Actually I´m just booking my room for the next season. See you there!
Everything was great, from the cute, white rooms to the amazing view and the super-friendly staff! The food at Mikrasia was delicious and the girls at the reception Aphrodite and Theodora were extremely helpful with directions and their warm smile. An overall great stay!
I can highly recommend this amazing hotel. Friendly and very charming staff, great location, high quality and modern equipment. I will come again very soon! Just awesome spot, thank you! One of the best spots in Greece I’ve ever been!
