We were a group of geology students and teachers, spending one week exploring Santorini volcanic rocks. First to mention is a very helpful stuff, which has organised also affordable transfers through the island and has given us some very good advices. The rooms were perfect for students (six shearing the apartment), with simple but efficient equipped kitchenettes. The towels have been changed on a daily basis. Location is perfect - very close to beach, restaurants, markets, shops and even ATM. The water is really a bit salty, but this is Santorini problem. The place is probably not appropriate for more upmarket guests, but for basic accommodation is really good value. Vasilis, thank you again!
My sister and I found out about Anny's from a friend. We had been staying at a place that was doing a lot of construction getting ready for the busy season and we decided to move closer to the beach and closer to a couple of our favorite bars and restaurants for convenience sake. (it is a little bit tucked away, but ask literally any local and they will happily direct you) Anny's is both a hostel and offers studios. We opted for a studio as we prefer the privacy. The rooms were very clean and had really anything that you needed. We stayed in a day or two and we're able to make full meals with the kitchen amenities and stove top provided. It was truly like a home for us in Perissa! We highly recommend staying there! It was a lovely experience all around! See you soon guys! Thank you!
While it was a cheap place to stay, you can find much nicer for just as cheap. The rooms smelled so musty and they were very damp and dark. The bathroom was absolutely disgusting. You cannot even use the toilet without having to touch the nasty shower curtain. The water seemed like it was straight from the ocean and my friend got shocked twice turning off a light switch. Beds were not comfortable and no blankets were provided for me and it got very cold at night. The pool did not seem clean like it looks in the pictures. No wifi in rooms only in main area and it is very slow. The staff was friendly and that is the only positive part about our experience here. We moved to a hotel a night earlier because we couldn't stand another night there. I would consider us fairly low maintenance and the fact we could not handle it here says something.
My whole family stayed at this hotel in September while we were in Santorini for a wedding. We booked a total of 5 rooms - 4 double rooms and one family room. The moment we walked into this fleabag hostel we were greeted by the unfriendliest male receptionist. We were too early for check in, but did request a early check in for my elderly parents, they were tired from the flight and needed to rest a little bit. This request was met with the sarcastic answer that it must be "common knowledge" that my request is not possible. Asking him again if we can not make a plan, we are prepared to pay an extra night, he told me he will not make a plan, they can wait. The only positive thing about this place is the location in Perissa. Negative points: 1. Extremely rude reception staff (male and female) 2. Smelly and dirty rooms. The rooms smells like sewerage 24/7. You can't bear to spend any time there 3. Uncomfortable beds and mattresses. 4. Noise from the bar area until late at night There are nicer places in Perissa to stay for less money. Do not waste your time or money on this awfull place.
First have to say that the staff is friendly and accommodating, I did appreciate that. However, I didn't enjoy my stay here mostly because of how little I was able to sleep. Most (if not all) of the rooms are around the pool area which also contains a bar. The walls are paper thin so you can hear every laugh, yell and music being played. Quiet time? No.The first night was awful, there was very loud live music playing at a bar nearby and didn't stop til about 2am. Also, our first room smelt so strong of sewage we had to request another. You can feel the springs in the bed jabbing you while you sleep. Just made for a few rough nights of sleep, which is frustrating when you're exhausted from a filled day of adventure or have to be up before the sunrise for your flight. Not a bad place to stay if you stay up partying every night or if you're a heavy sleeper and can sleep through anything, but personally I couldn't wait to leave.
The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful, on arrival we got informed of the best spots in town and best modes of transport etc. Lovely poolside bar with wide range of drinks and food available. Room was lovely also, very spacious and lovely balcony over looking the pool. Great location, right on Perissa Beach, close to all bars and restaurants.
This place is not just dirty but it is a scheme, Vasilos, the owner, advertises rooms for as low as 29 per night, also 120 per night, all for the same bad rooms, with strict cancelation policies, when you get there and realize what this "hotel" is, it's too late, We had to leave because the bed had the springs coming out, Vasilos refused to give us our money back, not just that, but never answered the phone from Airbnb, in order to avoid cancelling the reservation, he charged us one night even though we never stayed, the pool in the picture is not real, the real one is so dark and dirty.
Stayed at Anny Studios when in Santorini a drink was very glad I did. In a much quieter place and cheaper than in Oia with beautiful beach and plenty of restaurants to choose from. Anny Studios was a nice hostel, I stayed in a 12bed mixed dorm. Large room but small bathroom, enough storage for everyone's bags and small refrigerator and sink. The bathroom had a not so pleasant aroma to it (not sure if from other guests or just normal) but it was bearable. Pool was small (I didn't use it when the beach was so close) and bar was nice to sit at after dinner. Staff very helpful and friendly. Little easy to miss if you're walking past and not paying attention. It's in between two restaurants so don't get distracted by the beach!
I loved this hostel! Staff were polite and friendly, all the fellow travelers were also nice! The rooms and bathrooms were decent. Its just a few steps from the black beach which was great! A lot of great restaurants nearby. Definitely recommend.
Had a large room for 3 people. 1 separate bedroom with 2 single beds and an open area with a double and a single. Small functional kitchen. Air conditioning, pool and free laundry (but you provide the soap). Down an alley to the beach. What could be better? Washrooms are extremely small and somewhat dingy, and there's no "private" beach area with lounge chairs. That being said, it's incredibly well maintained and I would stay here again!
