The hotel is located in a nice place, just 20min walk from Fira, the island's capital. We stayed in the Caldera Mare Suite with a private jacuzzi and it was definitely the best option! It has a STUNNING view! The breakfast is served everyday at the time you wish in your room. It could be a bit different everyday just to don't make it boring but it was ok! The towels were changed everyday which is nice but the room was not deep cleaned. The staff at the reception (Petros) is very helpful! He helped us a lot during our stay and gave us good tips! Although we went on low season, it is a very worthseeing island! You can see all of it in just 3 days and Imerovigli is a good place to stay if you do not want to be in the middle of the crowded summer in Fira. Overall, we had an amazing stay!
Pros: Amazing View; Friendly Staff; Cons: Absolutely no basic support in rooms, for instance, no glasses for drinking, no mirror in the bathroom, "not so good" toilet papers. Further, we wanted to warm the baby food in their kitchen, but we were told no Microwave in "Winter". Very surprising reason. May be things are different in Summer :)
Stayed in this property in October 2017 with my husband. We were given an amazing suite overlooking the Caldera in what must be the BEST located place in Imerovigli. Our suite was beautiful with a pool and large fully furnished terrace and with beathtaking views of the sea and the beautiful white buildings on the cliffs. . A big thanks to Kyriakos who welcomed us so warmly and took the time to explain in detail the area and gave us some great tips of what to do during our stay. All staff including the housekeeper were wonderful. Breakfast was great and delivered to our rooms at a time that we chose. Alexander Villas is connected to another property the Kallista Villas which was a bonus as we were also allowed to enjoy their public areas. Santorini is a place that I will never forget, the beauty of this place is something that is difficult to explain - its absolutely stunning and one of the most beautiful places I've ever been to. Imerovigli is not your typical resort with massive hotels but scattered small boutique hotels/villas on the hills. If your looking for privacy and stunning views this is the place. Our only regret was that we didn't stay longer... but we'll be back....
I absolutely loved staying here. My room was gorgeous and extremely comfortable. The staff was extraordinary friendly & accommodating, especially Thanos. The pool and view was exceptional. I highly recommend Alexander Villas.
Great holidays!!the hotel was so well organised..the villas are on the top of Imerovigli cliff providing a gorgeous view of kaldera!!the staff is very friendly..i will never forget Lefteris Kikidis, the willing person that welcomes us with a wide smile, providing us information and tips we needed!!see you next year Lefteri!!
The hotel is an absolute disaster. Very difficult to find. When we arrived near the hotel at approx 1:00PM with our rental car we called the hotel reception in order to get assistance. Nobody picked up the phone. A friendly guy from Satorini helped us by calling the owner. Finally after 40 minutes waiting in the heat somone came to pick us up.... when you enter reception you think you are in a 50is movie.... old, dirty and unpleasant. When we checked in we had to place our breakfast order for the full duration of our stay.... this is a nogo when you are paying close to € 400,-- per night in a so called suite... finally we where shown to our room, which was by no means a suite its more like a serviced appartment. The "private terrace" is so close to a pool which is shared by 4 other rooms that you know that you will never have privacy. The bedroom has a full-size kitchen fridge, the safe was standing unfixed in an old rotten cupboard, the bathroom fixtures where old and fo the most part rusty. All in all a terrible room. Asked to see the manager and wanted to change rooms. Manager/Owner was at lunch and had no time to see me before 8:00PM. Ridiculous !!! As a seasoned traveler I am not waiting for 5 hours to have an appiontment with a manager in a so called 4-star hotel. As no hotel staff was able to tell me if there was another room available (this information was strikty in the hands of the manager/owner who never showed) we moved to another hotel. Of course the manager/owner showed no interest in speaking to me after we left his hotel. He kept the money we paid and showed in no way that he wanted to find a way to solve this situation. Definitely the only hotel and restaurant person we encountered throughout our holidays in Greece with such an unpleasant attitude, which actually reflects totally the style of his hotel.
The hotel was perfect. The rooms were luxurious, with a great decoration and very clean. The view from the room to caldera was amazing. The hotels' staff was very polite and friendly and always willing to help us. Breakfast was served in the room. Imerovigli is a perfect location and definitely we made the best choice to stay there.
I booked with precaution as I saw some as reviews.but as it seems it a probably from competition as none of them are true.the hotel is an oasis of luxury among tourist traps.exceptional rooms tremendous view and 5 star staff.i enjoyed it to the point I wish I could stay more but it was unavailable.definitely going again as it was marvelous
DO NOT BOOK HERE!!! THIS PLACE IS A SCAM.. we booked here back in April 2016 and the staff of the hotel said they didn't have our booking but would look into it, hours later they said everything was fine and we were shown our room, however the next day they said they still hadn't confirmed our booking and we were to pay a full nights stay for there most luxurious suite. This ended badly as my husband ended up at the police station with one of the members of the staff of the hotel to sort out the price for the one nights stay. we ended up paying what they falsely advertised which is what we paid originally and not the extra they wanted us to pay. we then booked with a different hotel on the island. whilst we were here this situation happened to two other guests as well. Overall the hotel and the company otel.com are working together as SCAMS.. we asked for a full refund from otel.com for the nights stay at this hotel and we are still waiting on our partial refund. I suspect otel.com have given it to the hotel for the outstanding amount they wanted us to pay. PLEASE DO NOT BOOK HERE!! This would have to have been the most horrible hotel experience I have ever had!!!!
I booked the hotel through a travel agency months in advance. When we arrived at the hotel (with all the vouchers and confirmations proving it) they said that they didn't have any reservation under our name. They made a call to another hotel (talking obviously in Greek) and then they said that there was a mistaken by the travel agency and that our reservation was for "Thermes Saint Alexander Villas" in Mesaria (in the middle of nowhere) and they just checked with this hotel because is a common error. Obviously the reservation was correct (we have all the papers proving it and also the assurance company of the travel agency is recognizing it after our complaining) and they tried to fool us because they overbooked the hotel (probably they sold to us the room at a lower price in advance and then, when they received new requests, they re-sold it at a higher price without giving notice of the cancellation, imho). For a hotel, categorised as 4*, is a shame practice what they did: ovebooking and then try to fool the customers and doing this because they are in Imerovigli in Santorini, where tourist go just because is Santorini. Last but not least, when I asked them for a transfer to reach another hotel, they at the beginning offered me a price; then when I asked for a receive so I can comply and ask for a refund, then they change the price adding the VAT and the guy took 10' (ten minutes!) to find the receive block and fill it... Really, really disappointing experience.
