The hotel is very lovely, like many of the hotels in Santorini it is built in the traditional Greek islands architecture, the room or rather the apartment was so lovely it has a warm feeling and a touch of simple elegance, we loved it, very comfortable and clean, the hotel grounds are very pleasant and you can watch the sunset from the terrace. The breakfast was good and had just about everything that one would like to eat, unlike some buffet breakfasts which have a lot of food that one would never eat anyway. But the very best part of the hotel was the lovely and gorgeous receptionist Georgia she welcomed us with the biggest and friendliest smile, she offered us a welcome drink and she explained to us everything about the hotel and how to get around Santorini in a friendly and amicable way, I am sure she has done this a thousand times but when she did with us it seemed as she was doing it just for us like an old friend would. We would definitely come back again with more friends.
This hotel location is very very good, near bus station and main street. Staff is amazing! Gave us several tips! hotel is beautiful and has a nice pool. Nice view from top of hotel. Absolutely recommend it! Some days evening there is no hot water from shower, but it seem to be a public problem from where water comes from. Reception closes at 9.
This hotel comes highly recommended, we visited off peak at the start of October & practically had the pool to ourselves for 5 days. Perri was more than helpful and the hotel we had everything we needed. Few minutes walk to the main tourist patch & bus station but so quiet. The breakfast is a little basic & there was no safe in the room but not a huge deal for the price paid. We used the transfer service arranged by the hotel and was reasonably priced and straight forward.
We stayed at Aethrio for 3 nights. Our room has a roof terrace with sunbeds, also has very nice view for the sunset. Perfect location when you like to make photos from Oia. The staff were very helpful.
We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Aethrio. After a long travel we were happy to check-in and get to our room and what a view! We stayed in room 17 which is right below the sunset deck and overlooks all of the resort and the sea with a private terrace. It’s quite a few stairs but we didn’t mind. It can be noisy around sunset as others gather above you to watch it on the deck but it was no problem. The only negatives were the water pressure in the shower was poor, the mattress on the bed was fairly thin, and the WiFi was very weak. It’s otherwise a great choice in Oia for the price. There are other hotels with better views for sunset but you will be swarmed with crowds of horrible cruise ship tourists. I preferred to stay here with a slight walk from the center or town, less than five minutes. We also really enjoyed the Sphinx Wine Bar next door. We would return again.
We stay in a typical apartment, with white walls, stairs to the upper room and a kitchenette. The pool is awesome and the view is superb with beautiful balconies. A wounderful place to go with friends and family.
This hotel is an oasis in a sometimes very busy village! It is casual and relaxed with a great terrace for those wonderful sunsets and a nice pool area. The rooms are very clean and well equipped with everything you need. The staff are fantastic - Perri and Georgia couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. Will definately return and wouldn't stay anywhere else!
Well run family hotel in the heart of Oia. Ideal for couples or families . Our family of 7 had 3 rooms all of which were unique ,clean and comfortable . There is a pool and a sundeck to watch the faboulous sunsets . We arrived by ferry and a pick up was arranged . The hotel is right in the middle of this beautiful village and steps from all the shops and restaurants . The staff are very helpful in recommending , restaurants , day trips or car hire . The hotel is built on several levels so may not suit those who find stairs difficult . Breakfast is included in the price and we found the hotel very good value for money.
Just the cutest little place right in the heart of town. Simply lovely. Welcome was awesome. Hotel facilities brilliant. Views amazing. Love it . Can't wait to explore this town of Oia. Pool is just great. GONE TO HEAVEN!!
We stayed here for three nights and really enjoyed the experience The hotel is very well located, a minute's walk up to view the caldera and five minutes down to the station for the local bus. The hotel has a terrace to view the sunset and we watched it one night from there. It's not as good as from the castle, but you do avoid the crowds. Our room was very large and comfortable, the service by the staff was excellent, and the breakfast was good, but the best part was the beautiful pool. In the afternoon when Oia is jammed with hordes of people from the cruise boats, this tranquil oasis is a great spot to relax and get away from it all. While OIa is jammed in the afternoon, it is beautiful to walk around in the early morning and after the sunset when the cruise people have left. It's a bit like Venice, with narrow streets and paths, lined wth buildings and free of vehicles. We also stayed a couple of nights in Fira. Fira is more centrally located and only requires one local bus to get to the port, Akrotira, the wineries, the beaches, etc. The sunsets are also very good, and there are no vehicles in the upper portion near the caldera. There, however, is a lot of noisy traffic (buses, ATVs, motorcycles, etc.) in the area below.
