First, the staff are exceptional. Very friendly and accommodating. The apartments are comfortable and roomy for a couple. The location is convenient to many restaurants and views. The biggest concern is the unbelievable congestion of people and traffic. This is a function of location and how things are run on this island. This has nothing to do with the apartments, the staff are frustrated also. Be prepared to deal with extremely limited parking and grid lock traffic if you come to Santorini. Cruise ships unload thousands of tourists that swarm the island. Yes be warned. If Santorini is your destination do consider Sunset Apartments.
The Oia’s Sunset Apartments were well located, not far to haul luggage to, plus access to restaurants and sites. Our apartment was quite nice, clean, and had 3 balconies to view the sunset. Stavros was extremely hospitable and gave us good information about what to see and where to eat. The only reason I gave 4 stars was the bathroom and shower were so tiny. However, you have to consider how these apartments and hotels have been constructed so many years ago out of the hillside. The apartment had a kitchen, and a small market close by to stock up on items for breakfast. We enjoyed our stay there very much. Santorini is fabulous. I highly recommend seeing Oia and staying at the Oia’s Sunset Apartments.
The hotel is smack in the middle of oia. It is clean and the beds are comfy. The terrace in front of the pool is a Great place to see the life in oia and meet new people. The hosts Panos and Stavros is great. Friendly and with a lot of humour. I would highly recomend this place.
The apartment is centrally location, and less than a minute walk from the bus station, ATM, supermarket and a Chinese restaurant! It is also minutes from the famous Oias views. The rooms are big, with living area, kitchen and dining table. The only thing we didn't like was the small shower area. The staff were friendly. We became friends and had drinks together, chatting by the swimming pool at sunset. This place is highly recommended.
Oia’s Sunset Hotel is large by Greek island standards with comfortable and quite spacious interiors. Several of the luxury hotels on the island have tiny, cave-like rooms which cost a fortune by the caldera, not to mention that most of the times you have to carry luggage down steep cobblestone alleys and stairs. This was our second time staying here. Upon entering the gate, we felt like returning home and were greeted by Panos and Stavros and spent a little time with them out by the pool before heading to our studio. Located very close to the Caldera and the sunset viewpoint, the hotel in Cycladic-style architecture is a few meters from Oia’s Bus parking-lot and terminal, close to the Caldera, restaurants and shops and other attractions. It offers self-catering units and complimentary Wi-Fi. The Three-Level Apartment No 3 The outdoor patio of our studio had two sitting loungers and a garden umbrella while the main room was impeccably clean, spacious and pleasant. Besides the double bed which was comfortable enough, there was a built-in sofa which can easily fit a third person. Six or seven stairs led to the upper level, a very convenient area where we enjoyed our afternoon coffee each day, but also our private breakfast. The bottom level led to a small room with a wall fitted wardrobe and the bathroom. Shower gel and a small soap are provided. The Bar of the Hotel Stocked with spirits of all kinds, coffee/tea, snacks and light meals, the Bar of Oia Sunset Hotel offers the perfect atmosphere right by the relaxing poolside area. Daily, guests can enjoy a continental breakfast by the pool if they wish upon request with an extra charge of course. In all, the hotel’s unique location, the personal welcome and hospitality, the small pool and very reasonable price, make it an utterly unique choice of a stay in Oia. For all the above reasons, I can highly recommend it.
What a great hotel. Great location, in the middle of everything that is important at Oia. The rooms are super nice and cozy. The place is very clean and well maintain, and the staff is amazing, everyone in the hotel went out of their way to make us feel at home. 5 stars service
A very nice and cozy hotel. The staff is extremely friendly and helped us everyday in exploring the place more. The rooms are super cute. We had a great time staying here. It’s very close to a lot of different cafes and the sunset point as well as the famous 3 blue domes.
My husband and I booked here last minute. We did not stay overnight as we had checked out of another apartment early in the morning but were not flying out until late at night. We wanted a place just for the day that we could come back to and rest if we needed (as it was quite warm that day). The staff had a room available, and let us check in early; they were great! The room suited our needs and was comfortable. The apartments are close to restaurants, gift shops, public parking, sunset views, and close enough to come and go as you please! Thanks for the great service! :)
This hotel is perfectly located near the Oia bus terminal, shops, and a short walk to the famous Oia sunset viewpoint. There were nine in my group and we took 3 apartments. We were at first aghast to see the steps leading to our rooms but Stavros and his staff helped us with our luggage from the bus terminal to our rooms. The rooms had an old world charm with interesting blue and white wooden windows. One of the rooms had a great view. There was a basic kitchenette. Our only complaint is that there was no microwave. Stavros is funny but most helpful. He helped us get transport to Ammoudi bay for our dinner and also arranged a porter(for a reasonable fee) to help with our bags when we checked out at 4.30am to catch a flight.
We stayed in June of 2018. I chose Oia's Sunset Apartments after reviews on Facebook and TripAdvisor. This Oia centered location is the best hotel we have stayed abroad in a long time! I proposed to my now-fiance in Santorini, and this entire trip from beginning-to-end was a surprise trip (each leg of the trip was a surprise!). The owner and manager of this location made this trip even more memorable. I had hired a photographer for a couple photo's sessions-turned-proposal months prior and had to sneak him the ring before my fiance saw it. The owner (Panos?) and manager (I believe Stavros) were excited to help, so I had asked them to keep hold of it until the photographer would come down to pick it up, then they would call me and let me know the photographer was here. They were totally on-board, excited, and loved the idea. It went flawlessly, and they even booked us a romantic meal at a restaurant down the cliff-side after the engagement, on a balcony with just our table! The owner of the restaurant was the manager's friend and he helped us get the reservation and ensure it was a fantastic night. This location is a fantastic hotel/apartment, and I cannot recommend them even more. Now, to talk about the actual facility: Each apartment has a kitchen, a bedroom, and a bathroom. It is Greek style, so it's very bright, airy, and gorgeous. It's far from fancy, but it really makes you thankful for being in Santorini. The hot water heater is a little different, where you have to turn on the fuse before you want a shower and turn it off again after - I assume to save utility costs which I assume is very high in that area. During the sunset, you can see a glimpse of it, but this isn't a sunset facing location. The shopping area, a line full of restaurants, bars, and cafes, are within walking distance. Overall, I 110% recommend this hotel for the facility, the location, and more-so the family-like atmosphere. Stravros and Panos - thank you again, and we cannot wait to visit you all again soon in the future.
