Residence Inn by Marriott Santa Fe3.0 out of 5.0

Great place. So nice to have a fireplace on the chilly evenings. Full kitchen was great. Very clean. Front desk staff was a really nice guy. Loved parking right outside our door. Looks like a condo complex. Will be back.
This is on of the old Residence Inn properties that were built in the 1980's I believe. I think there are only a few left, under a half dozen with this style, and for that I WAS VERY HAPPY! The room was upstairs (yes, you have to carry your luggage up the staircase for your townhouse unit) and quiet for the most part. The buildings are old but the rooms are clean, do not smell, and there is LOTS OF ROOM to move around in! The king-size bedroom was an open concept, but there was plenty of privacy for us if we wanted it. The kitchen was larger than most New York apartments and there was a fireplace (which we did not use although it did get cold). Breakfast is the typical Marriot for free (I wish they would just add some zip to this) and it was fine. Coffee good, staff helpful from the breakfast staff, front desk to housekeeping. The location was just South of the Downtown area - 10 minutes by car, and plenty of nearby restaurants. Santa Fe has several publications for art, shopping and restaurants and I recommend looking at all of them and Trip Advisor too! Apparently there is going to be one more renovation of this property under the Residence name soon. That is GREAT news! I am not fond of the newer style hotel rooms (those rooms at the newer hotels are too small! Hit your knees when you get up in the middle of the night!)
Staying here felt like having a second home. Room was well appointed and the service from staff helpful and friendly. Breakfast set you up for the day and facilities made your stay relaxing. Even without a car we enjoyed the walk into town and really began to feel like a local.
We stayed for 4 nights and found the residence inn comfortable and clean. The suite is large with fireplaces and a small kitchenette. Staff was polite and attentive. Breakfasts were very good, cereals, oatmeal, fruit, eggs, and with a waffle maker. We will definitely return. The in. Has senior rates, too.
ReBooked here after original hotel closer to downtown had to cancel ed due to plumbing issues. Three of us shared a studio which was very comfortable and spacious so really no complaints there. The reason for the but.... is the lack of attention to details such as not refilling complimentary items, not so friendly front desk, but most of all having the rugs cleaned while we were out during the day ! Who does that? They were damp to walk on when we returned to the point that our socks were also damp. Front desk offered to change room but since we are leaving next morning not worth the hassle.
This hotel is very nice, the staff very accommodating. We had our family reunion here and the staff met our needs at every turn. We were able to use the grill at the pool area for a family cookout earlier than we thought since the hotel was doing hamburgers for their nightly social and made sure they got done quickly. Though there is a downside regarding lack of elevators, one need only ask for a first floor or handicap room. This hotel is a gem! 👍♥️
Visited Santa Fe and made a "blind" reservation without checking where the hotel was. Was a bit disappointed to find that it was not in the heart of town, especially for the price that I paid, but was pleased with the loft-like setup room that had a sleeping enclosure and full bath upstairs, as well as a murphy bed and pull-out sofa with full bath, fireplace (no wood) and full kitchen downstairs. I used it to host my fantasy football draft, and it worked out just fine.
This was a most pleasant stay. Check in was efficient, common areas were neat and clean, a bit of art in the common areas and fireplaces. The room was roomy included full size refrigerator, sink, full oven and stove, microwave and dishes. Breakfast was good. It included turkey and pork sausage, eggs, fruit and cereals among many other items.
The Marriott brand is hard at work at this Resident Inn. The room was clean and renovated with granite countertops, new sink in the bathroom, stocked kitchen, etc. The free breakfast had several options and the hot sausage and eggs were great.
Large, clean room. Pleasant staff. Reasonable hot breakfast. Solid value, like all Residence Inns. Convenient to Santa Fe attractions by car without hotel parking hassles. Close to medical facilities. Easy to find.
