Quaint rooms, great front desk. The area at night is a bit sketchy. Would not recommend for a solo female is your room is across the street. I walk my work colleague to her room each night.

Las Palomas is right near the plaza without being IN the plaza. Easy walk to the plaza and all the shops, cafes, and restaurants in the area. The hotel is adorable, quiet, peaceful, and bed is comfortable. The staff is kind and wonderful, just like everyone in Santa Fe. The breakfast was fantastic (breakfast burritos, tacos, blue corn pancakes). I will absolutely stay here again when we return to Santa Fe. I looked into a bunch of hotels in the area and this one seemed to be the best balance of cost, location, and quaintness.

Cons: Receptionist was combatve. When I asked what the additional $20 was for, she snapped at me. We thought we were staying at Las Palomas but they moved us to a sister hotel that was tiny and needed repairs. Dirty broken blinds, blood stain on curtain, old mattress, old pillows one bar of soap, one towel each, broken outlets and cords on appliances that didn't reach outlets. The air unit has a digital display that shines directly into your face at night. It could bring in a ship Pros: Very quiet, good breakfast and kind kitchen staff. Close to Railyards and Plaza.

If you are seeking a true Santa Fe experience book one of their casitas. The walk through the courtyard to your casita is magical and inviting. My casita had a private courtyard to sit and relax. The staff was outstanding and breakfast menu is made to order with fresh ingredients...delicious!

I have stayed at this place off and on for 25 years. I like it, the staff are available, friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. My only complains are that the casitas are poorly lighted, with bedside lamps too dim for reading, limited overhead lighting, and (2) other than the bed, there is nowhere to sit. a table and two small straight chairs does not make for comfort.

Charming place, great location

We loved Las Palomas! The rooms and shared spaces were charming and there is some great art in the courtyard. We were greeted with a frozen lemonade when we arrived, an unexpected but lovely gesture, and the complimentary breakfast was more like a restaurant meal than the usual hotel buffet. The location is an easy walk to the Plaza and other attractions. I think we’ve got a new favorite Santa Fe stay.

4 day stay with friends. Room was spacious and clean comfortable bed and nice linen. Decor drab and shabby and In need of refurbishment. Not daily housekeeping either. Breakfast was OK but small portions.

This was a really unique stay. The breakfast was good and the staff were very warm. It’s a bit like staying with your Tia- it’s homey and warm, but you might have to go fetch your own mug and let them know things are out. The pipes will groan a bit and there’s quite a few lightbulbs in need of change and the fountain is broken. If you sleep in-make sure to ask for a room wo a foyer. Thr property is very cute and walkable to downtown/restaurants.
