Checking In was an inconvenience. First the girls at the counter couldn’t figure out how to get me checked in seeing I purchased through a 3rd party than a gentleman got there and started his shift and he figured it out. The room they gave me smelt horribly like cigarettes. So we had to go back to the counter and let them know plus we have asthma. Finally the gentleman personally found another room and checked it himself and gave us the okay so we took it. Maybe proper training for all that are working at the counter so they know how to handle situations like this would help. Other than that it was an okay stay.

I wish my experience here was more pleasant, but it was not. First of i had booked two rooms for two nights. When we got to the hotel it only shows that i booked 1 room. I showed the front desk my intenetrary and it clearing shows TWO ROOMS. The front desk lady couldn't understand why the other room wasnt showing up. At this point i was getting annoyed and a bit upset. To me it seems like the room that i have books was given to someone else even though i booked it. Thankfully she was able to find us the second room, and canceled the other room on my reserves. Got our keys and our rooms. Onces there my son wasnt able to open his door with the key they gave us. Ours work but his didn't. We had to go down to the front desk not once but several times throughout our stay to get our room keys fix. For the amount of money I paid for those keys should be working throughout our stay there. I will not be staying here again, and would not recommend anyone staying here either. The pictures they have online is totally different from the actual hotel itself. Elevator is dirty and needs cleaning, paint peeling or chipping of the railing, and stairway were questionable. If I could I would have just left and gone to a different hotel.

I am very sorry to say but this La Quinta Inn was dirty and old and really needs a complete make over. The floors and carpets are just plain dirty and old. I was informed when I got there, after pre-paying, that the WiFi was not working. WiFi was critical for my visit to Santa Fe on this trip. There was no cleaning service. No one checked my room or changed anything the four days I was there. It was the poorest hotel experience I have ever had. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. In fact, I would tell people not to go under any circumstances.
