Hotel Santa Fe

4.0 out of 5.0

Recent guest reviews

Excellent accommodations with very convenient shuttle to many of the main attractions. Accommodating staff. Stays true to Santa Fe art and architecture without feeling too antiquated. Charming place! Would stay here again!

For $270 a night, this hotel was extremely disappointing. The king suite has to be one of the smallest hotel rooms that I have ever stayed in, with the "bedroom" area barely leaving enough room to walk around the bed or open the closet door. The lighting was so dim from the lamps (two 40W incandescent bulbs) in the sitting area that trying to read in the sitting area at night was a joke. In addition, the hotel taped an ad for the spa right in the middle of the bathroom mirror. I have never seen anything like that, and certainly not in such a highly rated hotel. I decided not to stay for the second night.

Everything went very well. The staff is knowledgeable and very polite. They seem empowered to handle issues without having to call upon anyone else for help. The ambiance is welcoming, peaceful, serene, calming. The room is very comfortable, the bedding is excellent including the pillows. The bathroom is a bit small, but plenty of towels and lots of hot water. The food in the restaurant and bar is very good, reasonably priced. Entertainment is superb.

We had a suite. It was tight quarters. We were told that the bedroom had a door. No door! No privacy for 4 adults. The bar was stingy with their pouring. Otherwise great stay. Great dining room and breakfast. 2 wonderful fireplaces. Very cozy late at night.

Staff very nice. Terrible small suite. No room in bathroom either. Dark outdated decor. Daily resort fee with no real perks. Lots of additional taxes too.

Would stay again in a heartbeat! We miss it! Beautiful decor, great location.

Very accommodating bartender. Excellent spa pedicure. Quick checkin. Quiet and secure property.

I was surprised that my room was so small, given I paid about $200 a night. The shower/tub was fitted and the furniture and art looked like it was from the 70's. Bed was very nice, though. Appreciated the coffee setups in the mornings, but it would be nice if breakfast was included with the $20 daily hotel fee. Lots of parking and a shuttle that goes within a mile radius of the hotel. The pool area was very small with only about 6 lounge chairs.

Smallish size rooms with silverfish in the bathroom and disorganized taxi service. Experienced reservation booking difficulties thru Orbitz. Probably won't stay again.

Hotel had very friendly staff and very close to lots of restaurants and activities.

We loved staying here. The pool was perfect and the hotel was very conveniently close to the downtown area. Staff was lovely. Food was great. The massage was one of the best I've ever had. The only improvements I'd suggest are to be more aware of the shuttle service and times involved. Twice we waited 45 minutes to be picked up, after being told "he'll be right there." Also, at those prices, aromatherapy should automatically be included in the massages.

We were very happy with the hotel and its front desk staff who we interacted with a lot. The staff, including the shuttle drivers, gave helpful suggestions and genuinely wanted you to enjoy your stay. The shuttle service is the best and most flexible i have used at a hotel. Take advantage of the music in the lobby and the lecture given a few mornings a week on the history of the region.

When we checked in, we were told there was to be a mandatory $19 amenities fee charged to our room, although this had not been announced when we made our reservation. The fee allowed us to come to the lobby for morning coffee (none provided in the rooms), swim in the pool (not tempting as it was below 60 degrees outside), ride the shuttle to town (not needed as town is within a few blocks), read local newspapers in the lobby, use the phone in our room, have our pet walked by staff (no pet), etc. Since guests have no choice about whether they choose to partake of the amenities, the charge should be included in the price of the room when reservations are made.

This was a business trip and the client recommended this hotel. What a wonderful and different place to stay. If you need a hotel in that area, look at this one.

We have stayed at Hotel Santa Fe many times and it continues to be a great experience. The staff are very accommodating, friendly and knowledgeable about local restaurants and places to explore.

Stayed at Hotel Santa Fe which is only a few steps from the Santa Fe Railyard which held the Winter Brewfest. We have stayed at the hotel several times and always find it friendly and enjoyable. We especially like the Hotel London cabs (shuttle service) for getting around Santa Fe when we are too tired walk back or the weather is bad.

Nice hotel. Staff was very helpful and polite. Parking was tight and crowded. Shuttle was nice to have, but for the most part, we were able to walk to where we wanted to go. Hotel is centrally located.

The hotel is always beautifully decorated but was especially so for the holidays. Manager and staff are both friendly and efficient.

We had a wonderful time at this hotel. The rooms were great, the restaurant was just what we wanted, and the spa/fitness center were just what we wanted. The location was also great.. Easy access to some great areas of Santa Fe. I would definitely go back.

We stayed 4 nights Monday through Friday in mid-November. From the outside this hotel is very attractive, decorated for the season with a nice outdoor pool and hit tub. The location is fantastic -very close to the Plaza but a few blocks away from all the congestion. A very nice grocery store w organic foods is close and across the street a bakery and coffee shop that we wanted to visit every morning. Inside the hotel is warm and cozy with a fireplace and small bar, restaurant. Our room with a king size bed was very clean and comfortable though not overly spacious -we made it work. For the value I would stay here again. Very comfortable without being stuffy, nice staff.
