This property is in the heart of old town Santa Fe. It is an easy walk to both the square, capitol and Canyon Road. Parking was easy and abundant. Highly recommend!

The “breakfast” was lacking. Yogurt and the Nutragrain bars! There were also muffins. Which I couldn’t eat. Eggs, even hard boiled, would have been good along with some cereal. Paying 250 a night on the weekends, deserves a better breakfast.

The information on Expedia was misleading in the summary. You have to look below for more details. The summary said Breakfast included and breakfast was a marginal grab and go of packaged muffins and spoiled fruit. The summary said parking and down below it said there was a $10 fee. I missed these details and would not have stayed here. I think they should eliminate the breakfast and $10 parking fee. The room was updated, comfortable and quiet. The location was close to old town Santa Fe. I will stay someplace else next time we stop.

Location, location!
We stayed at this hotel fir 2 nights at the end of April. The location is by far the best feature of this place. The Plaza and downtown are a 5 minute walk away! The room was o.k. but the wall-to-wall carpet has seen better days and was sticky at some spots. The bathroom has seen better days but was o.k. too. What was really annoying is the fact that houskeeping never came to our room. When I complained at check-out about it, another guest had the same issue, and a third said she thinks the hotel skips houskeeping for rooms that people stay in for only 2 nights! Also, breakfast is "grab-and-go" style, so don't expect too much! Overall, our stay was o.k. as we really took advantage of the hotel's location.

The toilet seat is crooked on the toilet. The sliding barn door on the outside of the bathroom doesn’t stay closed. There is no way to latch it, so there is no privacy in the bathroom. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. We had to pay $10 extra for parking.

The staff is what made this property a great experience. The property is a little older, but very clean and orderly. The people at the front desk were very nice and accommodating. All of the staff were great. I will definitely visit El Sonderro again. It is very difficult to find people that appreciate your business these days In this staff sure did.

An excellent stay, everything was clean and worked well. Daily housekeeping well done. Best thing for me was that the thick walls and flooring meant that it was really quiet and very pleasant to stay. Stayed there a week and have already booked another stay next month.
