We had a lovely time at the Capri, the bikes that they offer for the guest (first come basis) was a wonderful bonus.
Hotel room looked exactly like the images, incredibly friendly staff, will def come again!
Very clean and quiet. Construction under way has potential to make it great
The place is so quiet, clean and neAt. The staff is very polite. There are many places to eat out around the property.
I loved the color of the room. Thank you so much for everything.
The place is OK, just not my cup of tea. Nothing worry. It is clean and handy.
The room had a disgusting stench, the sheets were like sandpaper. Walls are a glossy institutional green. Left the hotel after 1 night. If you have any aesthetic awareness or needs for comfort...not an option to stay here. Also it’s a motel in truth, not a hotel at all.
The check in was fast and sample. The room is clean. To watch TV or use WIFI was not reliable. Breakfast was not anything to look forward to, but just the basic. It location to walk to Libbey Bowl made it worth the stay.
Overall we were disappointed in our stay at the Ojai Capri. Room had a peculiar odor that even a good spraying with Febreeze did not help. Claimed to have internet in the room, but the signal was too weak and you had to go to the very tiny lobby area. Air Conditioning did not cool the room adequately which might of been fine if we could have opened the screen door to let the cool night air in. The screen did not fit properly and had a very big gap allowing bugs to enter. Breakfast provided was fine, but only 1 table for the entire hotel for guests to sit at. There was a resident cat it seemed who roamed all through the lobby & grounds even during breakfast. Now if you did not like cats in particular this would be very be very upsetting. First night my sheet had a whole on the bottom sheet. the next day we were given towels that were ragged. Only one light in the room worked. Overall would not recommend spending any time here.
Spent a Saturday night here with my parents and I would return again with my friends. I would suggest they inform their guests that there is a continental breakfast - it was a good way to start the day - and I'm glad we happened to walk in the lobby in the morning and saw it.
First off, I was charged twice on my credit card for my stay. After repeated unsuccessful attempts to get one of the credit card charges credited back, I had to call the credit card company and Obitz to help me recover the over charges. Just a total nightmare of an experience at the Capri. Secondly, the room was upgraded patio room was not clean and the room air conditioner was making very loud noises and did not work properly.
We used the hotel as a base to do a little local motorcycle riding. We found the staff to be pleasant and accomodating. The room was clean and modern with faux hardwood flooring and a bright color scheme. Had a nice big flatscreen too. It's not the Taj Majal but I'd stay there again.
We were up in Ojai for the family festival day. booked the hotel with of hope of making it a weekend get away. What a horrible mistake. Our toilet handle broke and wouldn't flush. there was no other bathroom that we could use at night and the hotel(motel really) didn't have anyone around that could fix it. They had new light switches installed that are motion sensor, which means every few hours we woke up to the room lights when one of us turned over. We booked at two bed room, what we got was two individual bedrooms connected by a hallway to a small bathroom -- there was no where to sit in our room itself. When walking between the rooms floor was very creaky, like cheap vinyl flooring had separated from the surface underneath. Floor was dirty in one of the rooms when we arrived. Power and lights in the main lobby were going out sporadically as we tried to eat the free continental breakfast -- apparently the toaster kills the fuse. Continental breakfast was decent, what you'd expect at an Econolodge or Best Western. This is definitely NOT a hotel, and definitely NOT a three star property. They do not have service staff or anyone to help you out at night - like when our toilet broke.
We did not find this hotel too attractive for the price. I have stayed in Ojai and at a cheaper rate the room was much nicer. This one had a small wooden table with a metal chair. The carpet wasn't that nice and didn't seem really clean. Under the bed especially. I would not stay here again. The staff was pleasant and helpful.
Nice hotel
Ojai Music festival Hotel was fine orbitz was not will send customer service a letter
With all my travels I have never stayed at a hotel like this. The staff was so unprofessional.
This property was probably built in the 1950s as a motel. It's got the standard motel layout, a check-in office fronting the street, a two-story line of rooms running away from the road. The owners have tried to upgrade the front office check-in area, it's modern, pleasant, and functional. It's also where you can have the Continental Breakfast should you so desire. It's when you leave the office to go to your room that the 1950s motel feel comes limping in. However, surprise, surprise! They've put some serious money into upgrading the rooms themselves e.g. King-size bed with memory foam pad on top of the mattress, flat panel large TV, granite counter tops, upgraded shower head. So the intent is there but because of the small (1950's) room size, it's a little too cramped, so it doesn't quite work, but again, the intent is there.
