Close to a business location that I visit so extremely convenient. 20 min cab ride to the city centre and airport. If your going to Barcelona for vacation stay closer to the action but if you need to visit for work on the southwest side this is a great place. Breakfast included is above average. Great restaurant attached - room service was also good. Taxis lined up every morning! Rooms clean and adequately furnished. Mattress could have been a little better but overall would recommend.
The hotel was very basic. It was a little out of the way. The rooms in need of modernising. Service was good. The restaurant could of been good but the food was extremely salty so we were very disappointed.
This is a really good hotel - large and well appointed rooms and bathrooms, comfortable beds, very clean, nice bars, etc. The only negative was that I was told that I could not check in until 16:00 as the people occupying my room were having a late check out. I told the somewhat stern and uncompromising receptionist that it was unacceptable and wanted another room, and she then checked me in early, as I had originally requested, so all ended okay, but I should not have been put through the wringer.
I've been staying here a few times a year for more than 8 years and it really does seem to just get a bit less 'special' every time I go. The downward slide seemed to start when Hesperia got bought by nH hotels. It's still quite good value for money but the rooms look old and a bit 'tired' and the breakfast is usually disappointing.
We stayed here with a smart box voucher for two nights on a city break. As soon as we walked into our non smoking room, we were surprised at how smoky it was, it smelt disgusting. The breakfast was poor, hot food can be requested but you are not told that information. The hotel is quite dated and run down. Hotel was average however the bar staff, particularly Oscar, were extremely friendly and helpful.
Arrived at this hotel, which is lovely, but a fair way away from the city. Lovely clean room, toilet facilities and the breakfast was fairly good. A 10 minute walk to the tram down the road, but did find the whole bit of travelling via tram and metro a little bit frustrating as couldn't work out the Zones, we ended up buying two tickets and we were told by a very nice helpful gentleman at the Metro, that we only need one for two people, which covers you travel 10 times, ie 5 each for both tram and metro. Staff were very pleasant and helpful, but as stated before a fair way away from the centre. We didn't eat in the restaurant for evening meal, but did find a very nice little bar about 20 minutes walk away, down the road past hospital called El Caserio which do food and very nice Estrella Beer. The trip around Barcelona on the tour bus is about 28 euros but well worth it as you can either stay on the bus for the whole trip or get on and off as many times as you like to visit museums or the famous La Sagrada Familia
This hotel was perfect. It was really clean and the rooms were massive. All the staff were really friendly and very helpful with any question or query we may of had. There was a safe in the room and the rooms and bathroom were really clean. The only slight issue is that it is a €20 taxi to the town centre. Or you can do what we did. We had the 2 day hop on hop off bus ticket and the nearest stop was Barcelona football ground so in the mornings we would just get one of the 20 taxis that are sat waiting outside the hotel, and go to the football ground costing us around €8. There is also a metro and bus stop that can take you directly into the main area as well. Apart from that there is no faults at all and would stay at this hotel again.
I supposedly got a special rate for the one night I stayed at this hotel for business and even then it was, in my opinion, overpriced by around 15%. The rooms are spacious and clean, the bed large and comfortable. The TV was almost laughably big and took up almost all of the space on the desk leaving a little area at the end for work. The hotel has "free" wifi. It is indeed free, but extremely, painfully slow and so you inevitably end up paying (10 euros for 24 hours) for a slightly faster connection (I've had faster free connections in many hotels). Staff is helpful and friendly. Breakfast selection was quite good and of a reasonable quality. I can't really comment on the location as such, as I was there for a seminar in the same hotel. However, I can say that this is not really a hotel for those visiting Barcelona in spite of fairly nearby public transport options. All in all, a good hotel, but too expensive for what it offers.
The Hotel excells in any many ways, namely attention to detail, as well as superb client service, and anticipating customer requirements, and providing value for money. Highly recommend, for any type of occasion / event.Staff very friendly and providing a first class service.
We were booked in this hotel for business, but it was neither good for public transport, nor close to the airport, nor centrally located, nor close to the convention center. For doing some work the table was very small as more than half was taken by a huge TV. The first room I got was stinky (nicotine) and had a dirty carpet. Got another room with laminate floor and at least the smell was much better. It was very noisy though and forget sleeping longer than 7 as you are located next to the motorway. So they renovated the floor but it seems nothing else, the bathroom looks very dull apart from being quite old. The food in the restaurant was so so and the service - except from Antonio, he was fantastic - too. I ordered a taxi in advance asking for it twice but ended up coming down realsing there is none and I had to wait although I would have had to leave on time...
