Staff is super nice. Parking is easy and the room is huge and clean. But does not have an AC. I wouldn’t go in the summer. I used the fan in the spring but it wouldn’t do for me in the summer. Also, there was a construction close to my room from 10-4pm. Luckily, I had planned to leave the hotel at 10am to visit Hearst Castle. So, that was manageable. The pool is great! And the beach is right there. Beautiful view and sunset!

Beautiful property lots of green grass on an ocean bluff with stairs to walk down to the beach Fire pits checkers chess games outdoor. This is a truly amazing hidden gem of a resort. In the room are treats for sale with pieces that are similar to store $6 for a beer that’s happy hour prices and you get this in the room awesome Super dog friendly and no additional charge WOW w e really love this place will return soon with dog and stay 5 days. Lots to see and do in the area. The room was great and the fire place with free wood how nice. One of our absolutely favorite places to stay now Thank you entire staff who really work hard and enjoy their work

This is our second time at Cavalier Resort. Our entire family went for my husbands 60th birthday. We had deluxe ocean view rooms and had a wonderful time again! We will definitely be back to our new favorite get away! Our adult kids loved it and they said they will be back also! Conveinent to Hearst Castle and Moonstone Beach and Cambria! Quiet and beautiful! Thank you!

Had the most fantastic week stay. I’m a long time visitor of the Cavalier. My only minor issue was when I use the floor heater to warm up the room. It also warmed up the RV style refrigerators in the room so that they were not cold anymore.🙂

The room was very clean, and comfortable. The grounds around the resort are clean and everything is well kept. The staff is very polite and helpful regardless of the time of day. The views throughout the resort of breathtaking.

We loved our stay at the Cavalier. Upon arrival we received an upgrade to a room with an ocean view, fireplace and balcony. The views are fantastic! Staff were friendly and helpful. The location is beautiful and close to Hearst Castle, hiking trails and nearby Cambria. Just a suggestion, bring your Amazon Fire stick with you if you want to watch tv. The basic tv in the room is analog.

Our interactions with hotel and restaurant staff were very pleasant; everyone was very accommodating. Check-in and check-out were easy and quick. The room was clean and comfortable. The ocean view was fantastic. We have only two minor criticisms: 1) There was no microwave and the refrigerator was VERY small and almost completely filled with hotel snacks and drinks. 2) The tv channel selection was very limited. Granted, we don't go to the coast to watch tv, but we want more than news and sports.
