It's rare to find a hotel that really stands out for its design, comfort, individuality and friendliness of the staff. One Shot Tabakalera House is one of them. Upon arrival, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, giving loads of good recommendations on things to do in Donostia and looking after our luggage whilst we explored the town until it was time to check in. Our room was much larger than expected, incredibly well soundproofed against the outside world and neighbouring rooms, and decorated to one of the highest (and coolest!) standards I've ever seen. If it wasn't for the lack of a kitchen, I'd happily make that hotel room my home! One Shot Tabakalera House has catapulted itself into the same category as nhow Berlin and Hotel Indigo Dundee as hotels that are permanently etched into my mind for being such an outstanding experience and a genuine highlight of our holiday.

The good ponts :The location is great, not far from La Concha and the old town / The receptionnists are cordial and helpful / The design of the room is quite different and pleasant. The bad points : Cleanliness is not at the top, specially in the bathroom / There was no handle at the window, so we couldn't open it to enjoy the good weather / In the middle of the night, some horrible sewer odors emanated from the pipes.

Location wonderful - immediately adjacent to train and Bus stations. Short walk into city centre and again to Old city, Beach and Gros. Like many modern hotels, rooms anticipate short stay only with limited wardrobe space, however staff are very helpful and accommodating. Thoroughly enjoyed our vacation.

Great location, just about 10 minutes away from the city with lovely staff and modern and clean rooms. We always had breakfast outside so can't comment on their restaurant. Wish San Sebastian wasn't so expensive but we'd definitely be back!

A beautiful city and a wonderful hotel. The perfect spot in the city, in the middle of the cultural meeting point Tabakalera. There is only one point: the breakfast should not be in the basement, so rather use the great cafe in the Tabakalera.

If you are transiting through San Sebastien, this is a good location right nearby the train and bus station. There's a supermarket nearby too. The bed was very comfortable and there's a decent desk and internet (50/15 Mbps) for work. The beachfront is some distance away although you can walk there in 20 mins. It's a bit hard to find (inside the cultural centre) and there is no parking outside so you can easily check in. Public parking is about 300m away.

First of all, we reserved a suite with a sofa, as you can see on the hotel's website. What we've got was a significantly smaller room with a tiny chair next to the bed - for more than 300 Euros/night. We complained at the reception twice, they were very unfriendly but promised in the end to inform the management. We did not hear back from them. All information you get (not at the reception desk, they only want to see your passport and your credit card) is an information sheet in Spanish. We had hardly any space for our two suitcases, as the bed is in the middle of the room. The bathtub had coffee stains that have not been cleaned during our three day stay. Also in the bathroom space for toilet bags is very limited. The breakfast room is absolutely terrible, a low room without windows in the basement; the food is between average and bad. There was terribly loud music playing and every day we had to ask to lower the volume. We also had to ask for every coffee, they would not offer us one. To sum up: WAY too expensive for what you get.

I tend to like the recent trend for repurposed industrial buldings being turned into hotels and on the whole this is a good one. Good location out of city noise but within easy reach of everywhere you want to be. Rooms are brutalist hipster, loft type conversions with polished concrete surfaces, exposed pipework etc and great high ceilings that keep the place easy to be in. What the building lacks is any way to get a coffee, after beach drink or breakfast. There are ZERO facilities on site and such it is impossible to have a gentle morning wake-up with coffee in my room. Something I like when on my holls. This is a very nice place to stay but don't be confused by the marketing you are booking a short stay room and not a room in a hotel.

This is a great hotel with friendly and helpful staff. It is within walking distance to the beach and old town. It is also a 2 minute walk from the train station. Good place to experience the Gros side- definitely more local and not as touristy. The rooms are very comfortable.

This historic building has been divided between an arts centre and a hotel. We had stayed in One Shot Seville and enjoyed it so opted for here - we didn’t regret it. Within very easy walk of the bus and train station, a nice park opposite and the river it is a 10 minute walk to the Old Town . The rooms are a good size with nice bathroom , comfortable bed, good views and friendly staff who made some good recommendations on dining options. We used the gym, small but empty in July and had breakfast which was a buffet served in the basement but good value setting us up for a days activities.
