Stayed two nights during festival week so it was pretty expensive. Location is on west side of the city and quite a long was from the old part where much of the action is but when you try and rest you will probably be glad of that. This part of the city feels less touristy and there are a good number of bars and restaurants in the locality. Room was clean and well equipped - we stayed in the grade one up from the smallest and cheapest. Free wifi worked well and was of an ok speed. We took the buffet breakfast. It was OK, but in fairness the hotel seemed full and the staff were very busy. I had some pintxos in the bar for lunch on our first day and they were very good. Staff were generally polite and helpful with a chap on reception and one of the bar staff standing out for being helpful. It is a massive hotel and therefore struggles to make an impact or be memorable, but it is a very good option if you are looking for somewhere to stay in San Sebastian.

I'd agree with most other reviews for this hotel. We had 2 superior rooms 1 for us and 1 for early 20s sons) and they were quite spacious with superb beds and linen, coffee machine, very well appointed bathroom and lots of storage. Breakfast was excellent too - huge choice, really good quality and you have to admire a buffet that even has a choice of salts from around the world! We chose this hotel as it was close enough to the rest of town without the noise and congestion f the old town. It's a fair walk, but with the option of a nearby and very regular bus (1.70 euro fare) if you prefer that. Plenty of good bars and restaurants in the surrounding area if you don't want to go far (although Bouquet restaurant just around the corner is probably best avoided - average food and overpriced). We parked for 4 nights and it's not cheap but parking is pretty hard to find and there are wardens everywhere, so secure space under the hotel was the best choice. Best things: the friendly, helpful and professional staff, beds, breakfast, and the location Worst things: VERY slow wifi which is not acceptable in this level of hotel, and the in-house restaurant - staff surly and not interested and food overpriced. There's too much good food available elsewhere in San Sebastián to need to go here. Not cheap but I think you definitely get what you're paying for here. Recommended

Perfect location when you arrive by car, hotel is not directly downtown. Hotel parking is available in the underground car park for 20 Euro/day. Quiet neighborhood and pleasant 5-10 minutes stroll to beach Playa de Ondarreta. Our room was bright and big, good sleep comfort, very enjoyable, classical NH comfort what we were expecting for 220 Euro/night. Very good breakfast buffet. We did not use the gym. Hotel rents out bicycles to hotel guests for 10 Euro for 4 hours or 15 Euro for 8 hours per bike, an easy and fun way to explore more of San Sebastian.

We stayed in NH Collection San Sebastian in the beginning of August for three days. The hotel is near the city center, away from the hustle of it. Modern, clean and alive. The team did their best to make us feel comfortable. We would like to send our special thanks to Alaiz at the guest relations for her good knowledge and patience; hardworking Juan Mari who made our breakfast special; and Said at housekeeping who made sure our room is very clean and comfortable.

This amazing hotel is 2 minutes walk from the sea and is very quiet and offers very very comfortable and pleasant, NH Collection type, rooms. I highly recommend the superior room. Breakfast also very good!

Wifi in room very poor and no toilet brush in bathroom. Everything else was excellent, especially the very attentive staff. We picked another NH hotel in Bilbao on the strength of our stay in San Sebastián.

We found that most hotels in San Sebastián were extremely expensive so we opted to stay here as it seemed one of the best for the price. The front desk staff were no at all helpful in giving us any suggestions just rattled off the standard things like parrots. When I asked for a DHL shop they simply said there are only 2 and they are far away I found one not 10 minutes by taxi away. I asked for a taxi and they said they wouldn't answer the phone and that was it. I rang to book a table for the restaurant which they confirmed but when we got there it was fully booked. We told them our room was so hot and the air conditioning was not working they said it was. Terrible service and not friendly at all. Staying at the GranMelia now in Madrid, the staff could not be more friendlier...

We stayed her for four days. We stayed in floor 3. It was hot and stuffy. The hotel lobby was fine but our room and floor was stuffy. We asked management to fix this problem but I think the hotel was too busy. The fast internet does not work in your room. You get charged per device ten euros for fast internet. The internet works in the lobby I wouldn't go back to this hotel. Not for the price. Trip advisor has removed once my review. I think to keep this an honest site this should be posted. I think the hotel Would be fine in the winter months but definitely not in the hot months. Please trip advisor. This is my very first review that o have posted that has had a negative feedback. All my other reviews have been good. To keep this an honest guideline for us travelers you must also post things that upset us as well. We really love the NH line and use them but this one in San Sebastián is not up to scratch.

We stayed at the hotel 12 days and are very pleased with the hotel. Very helpful people in the reception. My wife got sick during the stay and we got very good help from the people at the hotel. The location is good, 2,5 km from the old town with a very nice walk along the beach. The rooms are large and very nice. This is a hotel you will enjoy.

This is a hotel that caters to your every need - spacious rooms and great amenities. A short walk to the beach and a longer (30 min) walk to the Old Town. It doesn't have the Spanish charm that others may have but it is comfortable, clean, and convenient.
