We stayed in this hotel for two nights in mid May. Our west facing room was extremely hot. When we enquired about air-conditioning we were told that it was not turned on until June! What sort of hick joint is this! This hotel is remote from any facilities and a steep 3 km walk or 10 euro taxis ride from anywhere you want to be.

Sadly too far from the town. A good room with balcony facing west, which was extremely hot. Staff advised us that the air con is not available until June, and to open the doors! Only Spanish TV available. Sorry not good enough.

this hotel is a very nice hotel with comfortable lobby and clean rooms. the breakfast is also very good and tasty. we liked the place outside the hotel with small tables and chairs where we could smoke and drink comfortably since the weather was so nice. the only thibg is that the hotel is not centrally located, it is in the Aiete hill and needs taxi ( around 10 euros) to visit the city center. however the air is so fresh there and the staff at the hotel is friendly and willing to help you.

Would happily recommend this hotel. Staff very friendly and rooms, although aging, were clean and tidy. Very little street noise. Breakfast selection not as good as other hotels, but adequate. Required a taxi trip from the old quarter and these trips varied depending on the route taken.

We stayed here for one night. We were looking for a good price good location hotel and nothing fancy. We didn't care that the wall paper in the room was falling apart, the bathroom door frame was rotten in the bottom, and that the queen bed was made of two individual mattress nor that we got one small blanket we did not care about all this. However, the next morning we were ready to leave and have breakfast which it was included with the room and we were told that it was a mistake and we need to pay for it. By the way the breakfast was your typical American breakfast nothing special. Please find a better place to stay in San Sebastian.

Stayed here on business for 2 nights for an culinary event. Absolutely fantastic stay with really nice room and fabulous breakfast. On my check out date I needed to have a late checkout and the staff so accommodating and more than happy to help although I would suggest you prebook it as it gets very busy. Its about 10 mins taxi ride into the central which costs about 8-10euros and the reception organise the taxi for you....great service. The breakfast was full of choice and staff were so helpful. If I decide to holiday in San Sebastian with the family would definitely stay here. Thank you for a lovely stay and see you again.

Very quiet hotel. If you want a good sleep this is the place to be. For us the walk up the hill was too far. A taxi costs only 7,5 to 9 euros. Good bar, good breakfast, good bed in a spacious room and friendly desk.

A bit far from the centre of town, but therefore in a quiet location. A taxi ride into town costs about 8 Euro. We stayed there for 2 nights. Front office staff friendly and efficient. We had room 216; small but adequate. The bed was too small to accomodate 2 persons; we did not sleep well. There was no airco, so we opened the window. But since there was a distinct sewage smell coming from outside, we had to close it. However, the sewage smell persisted and we discovered that it was also coming from the bathroom. During the day the smell went, but at night it came back. We should have asked for another room, but both days we were too tired from walking around in San Sebastian and could not be bothered. San Sebastian is a very nice beach resort; down town has lots of tapas bars and restaurants. We loved it! Breakfast was fine; enough choice and very attentive serving staff.

We were very pleased with our stay at Hotel Palacio de Aiete. We stayed their given the good price in comparison to the more expensive options near the beach or the Old Town district. However, it was not very far and the walks were very manageable (they also had some bus stoos nearby). The hotel itself was great, very clean and organized, friendly staff and comfortable rooms. Highly recommended!

Peaceful stay, outside the hustle and bustle of the city, easy access thru cab (appr 8-10 euro). Good facilities, clean room. Recommended! We didn't bookbreakfast but the take out coffee bar assistant was excellent and friendly and coffee excellent quality. Very good price-performance!
