It was my first time in San Miguel and it was an excellent experience. When I booked my trip I was in contact with the concierge, Jorge , who made arrangements from my transportation from the airport ,in Guanajuato, to the hotel. Upon our arrival we found the hotel to be very well kept and full of charm. We had the room 6 which had a balcony overlooking the city. The views were amazing. The staff were all friendly and very helpful. Every morning for breakfast there was fresh fruit, yogurt, granola and fresh squeezed orange juice. We were also severed warm rolls with butter and jam. There was also 2 self serve coffee machines that were accessible 24/7. He hotel was within walking distance to town and many good shops and restaurants. I can’t say enough good things about Jorge. He arranged transportation and tour of the city Queretaro which was amazing. Jorge also recommend going to the hot springs , La Gruta Spa and also arranged a taxi for our transportation. I would highly recommend staying at the Manson San Miguel. The only thing there is no air condition so I guess it depends on what t8me of year you go. We were there late September early October and it was not an issue.

Do not look any further. You have found the cutest, well taken care of boutique hotel hacienda style with outstanding personal service and care for you. Jorge, Tomas and Olga were just simply incredible and so kind. Great attention to detail in the furniture and decor. Cielito lindo room is lovely although view is obstructed and the bathroom is underwhelming. Still worth it though! Would stay here again for the amazing people that run it.

My Wife and I totally enjoyed our stay at the Mansion San Miguel! From the moment we arrived the entire staff were attentive, helpful, and went out of there way to make sure our stay was a memorable one! Our room was the Garden View (Pasion) it appeared to be one of the larger of the 8 rooms, it was very cozy and the bed was very comfortable. A complimentary breakfast was served every morning between 8-11am (Fresh Fruit, Yogurt, Fresh Baked Rolls, and juice). The property is very convenant to Downtown, we never had to take a Cab. The incline to the hotel was a little steep, but good for burning off a fantastic Meal in town. Be sure to stop by the El Manantial Bar est 1920 on your way back to the Hotel, fantastic little place with great drinks and excellent food. I must also give a shout out to Jorge who went above and beyond for me. Without going inot too much detail, I had some "digestive problems"... Jorge contacted the pharmacy and had medicine delivered, it saved me! My only critique would be to have a few Umbrellas located on the Top Deck, it gets a little warm up there during the day, the view is fantastic. I would highly recommend this cute Boutique Hotel!

My wife and I stayed at the Pasion Eterna room on our wedding night and Mansion San Miguel ruined it for us. We had forgotten to bring toothpaste and, considering the high price for the room, expected they could provide some. We were told by the front desk they would bring us some. Half an hour later, we were informed they didn't have any. The member of staff complained that if he went to buy some he'd have to walk a long distance (great attitude!). We told him not to bother. We decided to have a shower, and were blasted with high pressure FREEZING COLD water. We phoned the front desk to complain. He said he'd come and check the water for us. He never arrived. We called again and he said it was working. But he hadn't checked! It was still freezing. Understandably, we asked for our money back the next day, since our wedding night was ruined. The manager did not apologise, and did not even speak to me about it when I was checking out. He told my wife they would be in touch. I got a phone call from a very rude woman who told me I was lying! She said that the staff told her he had come to our room to check our cold water (not true) and that it had been hot (not true). She also said they don't have to provide toothpaste. I'm sure they don't have to but for that price they really should. I pointed out that they had ruined my wedding night. I was offered a 30% refund. I argued again and was offered a 50% refund which I accepted. One week later: no refund. I phoned the manager. He said they were "working on it", whatever that means. When I tried to discuss it with him, he started shouting over me! I could not speak. Whenever I tried, he shouted over me. Two weeks later, after I sent several emails and called five times, we got the refund. This hotel has the worst customer service I have ever experienced, and I recommend you avoid it unless you want to be treated like dirt. It's also situated down a steep back alley, which is not great. Get ready for the management's response now which will be a pack of LIES...

This place decoration is lovely. Seems to have been a big mansion arranged to be a beautifully decorated hotel, with very few rooms and no children. Yet, this place is just blocks away from the center of San Miguel, which gives it a great advantage if you want to relax and also know the city. Service could not be better. Breakfast is delicious and very Mexican traditional. This is not a five-star review because our room (Deseo) was very little and kind of dark compared to the other rooms (we stayed on this room regarding hotel availability), and the bathroom was divided by a thin wood door, which spoils the room ambience (saying it in a gentle way). Finally, if you arrive by car, be prepared for the most steep alley in San Miguel (as far as we know).

A beautiful place, a peaceful sleep, a delicious breakfast and access to an amazing rooftop where you can relax, pour yourself a glass of wine at the bar and overlook the city. To top it off you have a host like Jorge. He welcomes you home, jumps to help you with anything you need and is full of warmth. Joined by a fabulous staff, Jorge and team makes the entire visit magical. I highly highly recommend and can’t wait to visit again.

We cannot day enough wonderful things about Mansion San Miguel and their wonderful staff. They made our experience a great time. My husband and I are already looking to book our next trip. Monica, Victoria and Tomas are what make this place truly special. We were delighted every morning with very pleasant conversations and they were always ready go to help and guide us with any questions. This place is beautiful but the people working here are what makes it truly special. The location is perfect. Away from the hustle and bustle but close enough to all the action. The terrace has incredible views of the city and the church and was the perfect spot to view the firework show on NYE.

We stayed eight nights during Christmas week of 2018. The hotel is a delight-- large rooms that are comfortable and artistic, three floors with an inner courtyard and many plants. Cielito Lindo is the most expensive room but it's worth it! It has great light, and a balcony that looks over the city. (Not sure if other rooms have balconies.) Staff is wonderfully attentive and friendly. Breakfasts are terrific: juice, yogurt with fruit, eggs made any way, omelettes. You can eat on the rooftop or the lower deck in the morning sun, or in the charming kitchen. Yogurt is the creamiest I've had anywhere. Jorge, the on site manager, speaks excellent English and is very helpful. The hotel is up on the hill above the central square, 150 foot climb by my reckoning, so be prepared for that--but of course the whole city is hilly. By the end of the week I got to relish going down the hill in the morning and climbing back up in the evening. I miss it now that I'm home! Great exercise for an 80 year old guy! All in all, a wonderful week at a very personal, non-corporate hotel and we look forward to returning to Mansion San Miguel.

We spent 4 nights at Mansion San Miguel and LOVED it. What a great property! And the staff is generous, kind, and accommodating. The daily breakfasts were delicious, we were greeted every time we returned to the hotel, and the patio spaces have lots of plants and plenty of comfortable seating. We had fun talking to other travelers and got great suggestions and advice from the staff.

I have stayed for a couple of days at this amazing boutique hotel in the city center of San Miguel de Allende (a justified UNESCO World Heritage Site..!), the absolute must-see when touring Mexico. I loved the private, personal atmosphere at the mansion, especially after having been “absorbed” all day by the city´s endless attractions. The staff Jorge, Monica... was outstanding, very well trained and more than helpful, offering assistance in any possible way with their excellent knowledge of the place. The inside patio impresses with lots of greenery, with a small fountain in the center, where you can sit and relax. The rooms are decorated and furnished with taste and great attention to details in Mexican style so that everything just fits perfectly and makes you feel even better than at home!! ;) There is a lovely outdoor terrace on the 2nd floor for having breakfast, and I have to mention of course the ROOFTOP terrace: I was absolutely overwhelmed every time I went up there! The view over the city is stunning, and accompanied by a drink with the sunset scenery a priceless experience!
