In the midst of planning our vacation to SLP, we had already selected the Conrad hotel when we saw photos of the Hilton SLP. We immediately decided we had to also stay at this hacienda-style hotel. Conveniently, the Conrad and the Hilton are located a short 5-minute walk from each other. While the Conrad is a typical modern business hotel, the Hilton charmed us with its decorative features. Not only are the public areas beautiful, but the rooms are equally artistically decorated to convey an earlier era. Similar to the Conrad SLP, the service at the Hilton SLP was impeccable. We had heard that weekends could be noisy due to loud parties. However, we stayed during the week when it was very peaceful and quiet - despite the fact that the Pumas soccer team from Mexico City was "in the house." We thoroughly enjoyed breakfast with its made-to-order "gorditas" that quickly turned me into a gordita. We also had dinner twice in the dining room when the hotel had invited a pianist to provide some entertainment. The music definitely made our dinner more enjoyable. Similar to the Conrad SLP, the portions at the Hilton are also very generous. On our last night in SLP, I finally decided it was time for a margarita. A big thank you to Edgar, the F&B Manager, for providing a hibiscus version because he had heard that it was my favorite. We cannot praise the team members enough for pampering us during our stay. While we were still staying at the Conrad, we toured the Hilton and met some of the bellmen. One day as we walked by the Hilton, one of the bellman (Juan Miguel) ran up to us and offered us an umbrella to shield us from the hot sun. How thoughtful! We especially appreciate the housekeeping team and its "babysitting services." (Ines - You will forever remain in our hearts!) Thank you, Jorge, for a wonderful stay at both of your hotels.
I have been here 4 or 5 times. Place was bought by Hilton a few years ago. Beautiful rooms, amazing courtyard and good food. Don’t miss the tortilla soup which is the best I have ever had. Area has been built up a bit the last few years with good restaurants and some shopping close by.
Stayed here on a business trip for 9 days and didn't get one good night's sleep. The hotel grounds are absolutely beuatiful and the staff is amazing. There is free WiFi, awesome breaksfast buffet with egg cooking station, bar, room service, safe in room, iron & board in room, TV in only Spanish and the food is good. My room was on the 3rd floor and the window had a planter outside, but with nothing planted. So a couple of large pigeons made a nest there and cooed all of the time. The window seal was not keeping out the road noise. The hallways are made of a type of cobble stone that makes dress shoes, high heels and luggage being pulled very loud. Be sure to pack ear plugs if you want a chance at getting some sleep. There is an ATM as well. Right across the street are a handful of restaurants and convienent store to choose from. Enjoy.
Upon check into to my room (Rm 332) at the Hilton San Luis Potosi hotel, I observed that the HVAC unit was not functioning properly. The room unit was not producing any cold air and communicated this front desk staff and was told for two days it was repaired. On the third day the unit was finally repaired, in the interim I requested another room but was not offered another one.
Great location a hidden Gem. sophistication with colonial architectural charm. not only stayed here had our Daughters wedding reception here. Staff were all friendly and very helpful and friendly went out of their way to ensure a remarkable experience.
Wonderful It has been a real pleasure to have been at the hotel. It is beautiful and it has wonderful service. Everyone is professional and courteous. The best part is 24 hour room service after many hours of work i can always count on a nice late night dinner in my room while i work on my computer.

While it is a decent taxi trip to the historic center, we chose this property as we wanted a big, quiet room for sleeping while in SLP, and we were not disappointed. Gorgeous lobby and restaurant, great breakfast buffet and good staff. We would definitely stay here again when back in SLP.
Poorly trained staff. They have zero idea about customer service. Carpet was very old and dirty, the place is most definitely not worth the amount they charge. Word of advise, don't try to move the table in between the beds....it will fall on your feet!!!
No matter how gorgeous the venue may be, if you feel that you have been received by condescending, demeaning staff, all other defects stick out like a sore thumb. Well, let’s start with the parking. It was full so we parked at the Soriana. After entry into the lobby we stood in line for about 15 minutes while two members of the front desk staff tried to solve the missing cash payment issue of the guest in front of us. After 10 minutes of having not even acknowledge our presence, the front desk clerk assisted another guest who just walked right past us and asked him for change. Once the issue with the guest ahead of us was finally resolved, the clerk acknowledges our presence, and give us our room key. When asked about the parking, he tells us that we can park in the staff parking. When I ask about the Valet, which we had just now seen, then he tells us we can use that as well. Not surprisingly, we are assigned a beautiful room with stained carpet, stained headboard and damaged walls. The bellhop, Carlos, gets 5 stars for being kind, and helpful (he was the highlight of this stay).
