Received an email from the piccolo hotel that the hotel was now under the umbrella of the Paso Robles inn Created an uneasy feeling. Take over usually means cost cutting Sure enough you can see the cuts. No receptionist at night. Very few staff. Amenities cut. Worst of all. No hot water the 1st day and zero communication from PR Inn about it Been there 3 times prior but this time is my last. A number of guests were disappointed and discussing the no hot water situation. One guest said it best. The piccolo went from the Ritz to a Marriott

Room was right next to the elevator. Very noisy. No hot water one morning. Desk clerk didn’t speak or understand English very well, and seemed to have trouble using the computer. The valet was excellent though. Great roof bar. Breakfast was a delight. Good choices, very tasty.
