Very nice hotel, with courteous staff, good breakfast, comfortable rooms. Highly recommend NOT taking a room facing the street, as it was very noisy throughout the night. We requested a move to a quieter room on the other side of the building and the second night was much better.
Location is adjacent to freeway, easy on-off and not far from several dining venues on Broadway. Adjacent to another hotel so good common use of parking area, good up keep, well lighted, good staff and support
Located close to the 101, lots of food both chain and local in the area. Friendly staff. Super quiet. Breakfast was hot and on par with all Fairfields I've visited. Gym also the standard and very clean. Great stop on a long trip home.
This is just a typical FI. Nothing special. They do NOT recognize Marriott Rewards Members (so much for following the rules.) I didn't get an upgrade and instead was given a standard room next to the elevator. When I told the clerk I specifically stated in my profile I did not want to be next to the elevator or ice maker, she told me the best she could do was a double room. I took it - not knowing it was next to the freeway and I would get to listen to cars all night! Typical FI breakfast. No fresh fruit. For one night when you are in the area, it will suffice. Beyond that, I'd look for something else.
My last stay here was about five years ago when this property was fairly new. It looks as new today as it did back then...very impressive and great guest relations service -- a gem in the Fairfield crown.
I generally always stay at Marriott properties when I travel simply because Marriott properties are dependable, clean, updated, and offer great service. In this case, I was traveling to the Pismo Beach area but wanted to avoid the high prices associated with being close to the ocean. Traveling to the recreational areas was easy since the hotel is located off the Highway 101. The hotel was nice, as expected, but my room was very small. The king size bed practically took up the whole room. I expected more. I am also a reward member which gave me free internet but still, I was disappointed with the size of the room. Seems as though the front desk should have given me the option to move to a larger room. Overall, I would say that this Marriott was fair in comparison to other hotels.
This was one of the nicer Fairfield Inns I have stayed at. At check-in, I was acknowledged as a Marriott Rewards member and received an upgrade to a room with 2 queen beds. The lobby looked like it had been recently renovated and the hallway carpeting looked new. The complimentary breakfast buffet was good. The front desk staff did supply me with a long list of dining options however some of the areas where the restaurants were located looked a bit "sketchy" so we ended up bringing back a pizza.
Great front desk staff they make you feel like family. Very pretty hotel with spacious rooms and very clean and quiet. Easy to find right off Rt. 101. The breakfast was ok same thing everyday. Very pretty view of the mountains from my room.
We reserved a suite at the Fairfield Inn & Suites in Santa Maria for 3 adults for 3 nights in June, 2017. When we checked in the front desk lady gave us the smallest room in the hotel just across from the elevator on the 4th floor. The room offered no privacy whatsoever. Before unpacking, we went back to the receptionist and requested another room. This was the middle of the week so there were lots of other rooms available. This time she gave us what had to have been one of the better rooms in the entire complex with a lockable bedroom door...totally private. I still cannot understand why that front desk lady gave us (reward members) such a crummy room when there were so many better rooms available knowing we were staying for multiple days. We have stayed at several Fairfield Inns before and enjoyed our stays. Other staff members were quite courteous and the breakfast was very good. Next time I’m in the area, I will try another accommodation.
We stopped here heading to San Diego from Monterey. It was a really nice hotel! We were on the ground floor and heard nothing from above. Kids enjoyed the pool area! The room was super cute! We had a family of 5 and thought the pullout would have been a queen (baby slept with us)...It was a twin. Luckily we had a sleeping bag with us and we made an extra bed with the cushions. Worked perfectly! Breakfast was good! A big area too so plenty of seating. The employees are super sweet too! We will stay here again if need be! P.s.....love that there was coffee, tea, and hot cocoa 24/7....
