Great layout for groups. Quiet community. Fantastic views. There is a path from the yard to the beach or you can take the road. There are plenty of restaurants around, some only a couple blocks away. There is no AC, but the evenings were quite cool so no real need. We loved our stay.

Easily getting 5 stars from my family and me! The property was spacious and location was excellent. It’s a must stay for a large family (we are a fam of 6). The only thing to note is that you are not able to see the sunset from the decks during all months. We stayed in June and the sun sat north from were the house is at.

Great location

We loved the location. Close to the beach and close enough to walk to various restaurants. The view of the ocean from the two decks was beautiful and relaxing. We had 8 people in our party and the house was perfect for the three families.

Two families of four with young kids

We enjoyed our stay in San Diego. Beach access and balcony views awesome. Easy to go out on outings- La Jolla in particular only about 10 min north. We had enough space for two families of four (with 4,kids ranging 1-5). We loved enjoying the balconies and the walk down to the beach was quick and easy. Don’t forget to bring baby gates if needed; it helped that the bottom and top floor bedrooms had doors you could close so no immediate access to stairs. Bathrooms a bit outdated but that is clearly shown in pics and didn’t spoil the fun!

Perfect Beach House

This beach house was everything we hoped for when we decided to come to California for the first time! It was very clean and spacious for our family of 6. We loved having beach access. The beautiful beach path was full of gorgeous plants and felt enchanted as it led us to the beach. It was an easy short walk to the amazing sandy beach and the vast pretty ocean. We took early morning walks along the beach and enjoyed ending our days by watching the sunset using beach chairs from the garage. We loved watching all the surfers hitting the waves daily, which can be seen not only from the beach but from the house as well. The location was perfect and close to everything San Diego has to offer. We took advantage of the Surf shop (San Diego Surf School) just around the corner (2 min drive) and took lessons right at the beach near the house. We also rented wetsuits and surf boards later in the week from the surf shop. We had an elderly family member who couldn’t walk down to the beach, but was able to still enjoy the ocean view and sounds from the house’s deck. There is also beach access for handicap by just driving a few minutes from the house. What I will miss most of all about this beach house is having the cool ocean breeze touching my skin as I fell asleep every night to the majestic sound of the ocean waves. Thank you for opening up your beach house to my family and allowing us to have memories together we will cherish forever.

Wedding event nearby

Every one of us - 7 adults and a 17-year-old - were thrilled with this rental. Beautiful property inside and out! Multiple walks to the beach, views from balconies on all 3 levels, walking distance to some shopping and restaurants, spacious and comfortable interior, and secure property . Can’t think of anything that was an issue or disappointment. Highly recommend!

Great location, house needs a little work.

The location couldn't be better. Nice neighborhood, easy beach access, great boardwalk accessibility.The layout of the house was great for our group. BUT:The beds are only so-so. Many of us didn't sleep so well.It seems deceitful that fireplaces are shown in the pictures of the house but have signs on them in real life that say they are not for renters to use. Drawers and shelves in the second floor closet are bare, rough wood, or partially lined with old peeling paper. Very old and in need of replacement.Only 6 spoons in the utensil drawer.Faucet for the tub on the bottom floor would not switch from shower head. When tub on second floor was used for our grandson, dead silverfish were found in it.The slider screen in the second floor bedroom would not open to allow access from there to the deck.We had a good time, but felt that for the price we paid, there shouldn't have been these shortcomings.

Great Access to Beach

This house is a house behind a house that has great access to Pacific Beach and offered accommodation for our family of 7. The pictures make the rooms and driveway look bigger than they actually are, but they were still quite comfortable for our group. We wanted to do most of our own cooking so we brought some of the fundamentals, but found that this kitchen was well stocked with tools, pots & pans. We were able to have two people in the kitchen area without much trouble. And we produced some sumptuous meals.Most houses say they can accommodate more people than they really can, comfortably. This house had living room furniture, dining chairs, tables, and dinnerware that were appropriate for its size. And, the view from the balconies and some of the windows while a partial view of the beach, was lovely.

This home is in a great location. The bathrooms and appliances are dated, but clean and functioning, which we didn’t mind. I would definitely stay here again!!! Great views from the balconies

Vacation by the sea

I wanted a home where I could see the ocean, hear the ocean and have easy access to the ocean. This house fit everything and more. We walked to great restaurants for breakfast and dinners. We never needed the car. Only problem was finding the house. Could have used a number on the gate or on the driveway floor. We loved our time and plan to return.

Nice location

Stay was good . The bathrooms could be a little more cleaned. The grout in one shower has build up and around the sliding glass doors in another bathroom need some attention other than that great house. Do need to note the picture of the driveway? Looks deeper for parking than actual . cars or SUV is all you’re gonna fit

Was perfect for our family

The property was just what our family of eight adults was looking for. It was spacious and comfortable with views of the ocean from both decks. The neighborhood was quiet and just a block from a family-friendly beach. The house is down a narrow driveway that runs between a stonewall and another house. If you have a very large vehicle it could be a bit challenging to navigate but once through the parking area is spacious.

Perfect surf vacation

We had a lovely vacation at this spot. It is away from super crowded Pacific Beach and perfect if you want to go surfing. You can check the surf from the house. For those who want a swimming beach it’s a short walk. The house had everything we needed to make meals. We also had great communication if we needed anything. Highly recommended!!

What a gem by the ocean

This property has an amazing location--so close to the beach and a short drive to so many attractions. The house was very clean and exactly as pictured. We appreciated having bathrooms on every floor and enough bedrooms for all the guests. There were plenty of towels, pillows, and blankets, and a well stocked kitchen. Having a gated parking area was also greatly appreciated. The views from the windows were amazing. We also enjoyed the quiet neighborhood.
