Home away from home
I stayed in Dora’s condo for ca. 3 months during a short professional stint in La Jolla.
The condo was spotless and in excellent condition. I enjoy cooking and most things were there, including a set of sharp knives. I added - and left a few extra things in the condo, such as a simple blender, an ironing board and steam iron. I really enjoyed the amenities: the aircon was very effective, the washer and dryer really fast and efficient, the internet connection speedy.
The interactions with Dora were super quick and she gave me the sense that she genuinely cares about her guests. I was really touched that she had provided me with plates of fresh fruit when i first arrived and again little things were so helpful: there were dish washer tablets, washing up liquid, kitchen towels, bathroom and cleaning supplies, enough towels ecc. This stand out as special in my experience with holiday rentals.
I has little contact with the neighbours except for a polite node of the head and ‘have a nice day’. The area was quiet also; perhaps the only down side is that the flats opposite are very close snd one opens the curtains one is almost in the balcony opposite. The condo lies in a complex like many others in La Jolla - carefully groomed and with a nice pool.
Overall: the flat was a good choice, i enjoyed my time there and I recommend it without reservations.
