Great location, free hotel-parking a block away and breautiful modern rooms. All of us trying there (4 persons) liked it. We had a delicious breakfast there (I recommend you try the hot chocolate) and the staff was very friendly and competent, though i don't know if they all speak english, because we were speaking spanish with them.
There are positive and negative comments. Positive: 1. Position - 1 minute walking from the center 2. Staff- professional and available 24 h 3. Free wifii 4. Free water 5. Free laptop- no Money for printing Negative: 1. Breakfast - always same food (eggs and beans) 2. Room - confortable but really cold. We had also problem with electricity. 3. Not so clean
Is a small local hotel you wont find the amenities you find at other major chain hotels so be prepared. The location is exellent very close to the main square and the service of the personell was always good they always greeted us and treat us nice. The beds are very tough but the second night you stay in chiapas you wil get to the hotel very tired and the bed will do the trick. Breakfast was good i mean just dont be picky and you will be fine. There is cofee at the room so we used it every day and it was very good Chiapas cofee. So im giving the 3 stars because of the beds, the wifi was not always good and thats it.
As soon as we arrived the receptionist said that the previous guest had an "accident" and clogged the bathroom of 3 rooms and no other rooms were available so they had booked us in a cheaper hotel. I did not believe this story. We didn't take the other reservation and decided to wait there until the plummer came to fix it, so we decided to eat there while we waited. During this time we saw from the restaurant other new guests arriving and getting their rooms. I went back to the receptionist and at this time had no choice but to give us the key to the room. No plummer ever showed up, and the room was fine. I'm sure they had overbooked it and tried to make us switch to a different hotel. I know this because this happened to other guests that shared their storied during the tours. After this they lost all my trust. The breakfast is absolutely awfull, the sausage is disgusting you can tell they use the cheapest food. The breakfast includes eggs, beans and bananas. If you pay 20 pesos it will include fruit and something extra ( hot cakes, taquitos) equally as bad. One good thing is the location, its about 3-4 blocks from the center of town.
Stayed 6 nights in a raw The hotel is clean, 2-5 minutes walk to major attractions. Quite & pleasant atmosphere. Stuff with much willing but with very little English. Has ground, first & second floor, without an elevator We would stay there again
Stayed in this hotel for 2 nights; it lies in walkable distance (10 minutes) from the main square, nearby the busstation. Rooms are ok, but somewhat noisy; we noticed when party people came back at night (the orchyard is not helping the hotel here). The included breakfast is basic but you can take extra at a cost. Price is pretty cheap so this can be expected.
I booked this hotel on Expedia 3 months before and PAID for it. The day I came they told me they are overbooked and offered to put me into another hotel. They showed me 3 different hotels nearby, all very bad, old and cheap! This is unbelievable and highly unprofessional ... if something like that happenes you should offer the same hotel category if not better. I will never come to this place again.
The service is really good, it´s clean, It´s beautiful the art hotel great views, great decoration, nice style. The location is good, 3 minutes downtown. The food is good at the hotel, and for me the best was the service, the people were really nice.
A really good hotel and option on San Cristobal de LAS CASAS.. New hotel and well designed Very nice rooms and bathrooms.. Exceptional customer services. Provides free parking few blocks to the hotel where someone form the stuff helps you find the place.
Unless you speak Spanish, you will have a very hard time communicating with the staff in this hotel. The staff are friendly, but not a word of English. It starts already at check-in where the lady at the front desk, looks at you like an alien, and has no clue whatsoever what you are saying. If they understand a couple of words, but do not speak English, that's fine. But not understanding a single word, that's bad in my opinion, if you are in the hotel business. To make things worse, the following morning, after a lot of body language and key words, we've managed to book a tour to Zinacantan and Chamula. The lady at the front desk confirmed that tour was in English (Engles? Si, Si). Guess what? The driver and guide did not utter a single word in English. What a waste of money and time. That's in nutshell how your stay would be like if you don't speak Spanish. Breakfast is close to nothing and expensive. A lot of cafés around that would serve a nice breakfast. No safe in the rooms. Apart from that (on a positive note) you'll have a good stay and a good sleep if you manage on your own. You would really feel welcome.
