Generally clean Route 66 feel hotel. A little noisy with street noise and a close freeway. Parking is a little tight for large vehicles but not a squeeze for others. Good option if you don't like soulless chains.

Rodent Issue and Unclean

Do not stay here. The rooms are not clean. When leaving I picked up my bag and a mouse scurried out from under it and ran under the TV cabinet. In my further investigation I saw rat poison in the corner of the room so they know there is an issue but clearly are not taking the necessary steps to resolve it. Not to mention having rat poison out in pet friendly hotels is a huge hazard. The rooms themselves do not look as they are advertised, they are much worse. There is no fan for the bathrooms causing the rooms get extremely damp. There are brown spots on the ceiling which could be mold. We spent little time in the room so decided to suck it up and stay but seeing the mouse as we were leaving was the nail in the coffin for us.

We stayed here in order to be close to our son at Camp Pendleton. The location was fantastic…lots of places to eat and shop. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Parking was never a problem. We were very happy with our stay!

Relaxing, quiet get away!

This was a solo trip for 2 days to San Clemente for a much needed break from "real life"! This motel was perfect for my needs - it was quaint, quiet, close to everything and a great home base to come back to each day after exploring San Clemente. The little kitchenette (microwave and fridge along with lots of space to put groceries that I had brought) was exactly what I needed so I could just chill in my room rather than going out for every meal. The Bagel Shack next door was spectacular, and Ralph's grocery was 1 block down. The owners/managers were extremely pleasant and attentive to any needs. I left my car in the parking lot and didn't use it once on this trip as it was convenient to walk everywhere or take the free town trolley. The pier was less than a mile walk through beautiful, quiet neighborhoods, so I did that at sunset both nights! Literally the most relaxing get away I've ever taken!

Amazing location!

Amazing little motel! Super clean and spacious. Definitely on the older side, but it doesn’t matter because it’s well taken care of. Location is AMAZING!! It’s a 15 min walk to the beach/pier and 5 minute walk into the main little town! And it’s right next to a Ralph’s and bagel shack for breakfast. Couldn’t have been happier!

Family owned, which was so lovely. It smelled so clean and fresh as if we were visiting family not a hotel. We didn't like that we had a portable AC cooler in the bathroom facing the bedroom. It also kept turning off and resetting which made the stay inconvenient. Other than that, everything was wonderful. Staff/owners friendly and very helpful with information around town. The trolley ride was fun and super convenient that we were able to get close by.
