If you just want a high-capacity place to sleep, this property serves the purpose. Otherwise, you should be aware of several location and maintenance problems before booking.The house is located in a quiet, residential neighborhood. It is about 8-10min drive to Quarry Market mall and 15-20min to downtown attractions like the River Walk and the Alamo. Because the property is so close to the airport, the sound of jet engines is frequent and loud. Additionally, the window treatments in several bedrooms do not fully block out the morning sun, which may affect those who aren't early risers.The property shows significant signs of deferred maintenance. During our stay, we observed: - Cracked ceilings and walls, as well as damaged flooring throughout. - Two of the three showers were in poor condition with low water pressure. - Two sinks did not produce hot water. - Multiple bedroom doors would not remain latched/closed. - The HVAC system in one of the bedrooms is exceptionally loud when running.We noted the damage to the host during our stay.We encountered drain flies in the bathrooms. The presence of multiple pre-installed plug-in fly repellents in these areas suggests this is a known, ongoing issue.Regarding the amenities, the game room needs attention. The foosball table was broken, the poker table was rusted, and the ping pong table is in a space too cramped for comfortable play.On a positive note, the kitchen was decent and equipped appropriately for a rental.
