A lovely patio/neighborhood for walking, bird-watching! After 2 long days' drive, we arrived to O'Casey's just as several NEW-to-us birds were singing! Easy parking in front, on the quiet street. Check-in was easy, no-contact as Host Sandra texted me the instructions & policies directly. We had the DUBLIN Room, as I'd seen on their website that it is on the main floor = easier in/and out access. The vintage house is beautifully appointed; has those very high ceilings. The DUBLIN is at the back of the house, with tall windows for natural light, and a private bathroom. We appreciated the no pets, non-smoking, and Quiet Hours policies. We immediately wished to gift our Austin daughter a night! Food Recommendation: We heard the praises for the very nearby LA FONDA cafe only after we'd left! Breakfast was out by 8, and was self-serve. Cereals (what a nice treat, the "Grapenuts"!), breads & spreads, hard-boiled eggs, good yogurt (not "Greek"). We breakfasted on the patio. YES, WE WANT TO STAY HERE AGAIN! Cons (easy fixes): Despite the porchlight being on, the entry keypad was impossible to see at night except with a cellphone flashlight. The Dublin's bathroom door was squeaky! The all-night patio lights shine thru the pretty curtains, especially the window closest to the room door-- shines right at the head of the bed (I got that side; forced to use my eye mask.) WHY must any patio lights stay on past 10P.M.? No toiletries space in bathroom. No kleenex. Shower head is short.
Great location and decor
The property is so pretty with all of the architectural charm of an old home. Since all electric and plumbing were added well after the home was built, it was a little awkward. The bathroom sink hit my thigh, very little room to get in and out of the beautiful claw-footed tub. AC was a window unit. It is wonderful for a short stay. The property manager sent door codes for the front door and our room ahead of our arrival, so no check-in. Breakfast was minimal, and mostly carbs. I love sugar, so it worked fine for me. I would stay here again for another overnight stay in the area.
Cozy, friendly and comfy! Convenient to everything. Thanks for a great stay we will be back next time we are in San Antonio!
Enjoyed the B&B... close to the Pearl area for dinner and relaxing.
The B&B was fantastic! So relaxing and in a quiet, historic neighborhood. The best part about the entire visit was Robin, the staff member that prepared breakfast goodies every morning and keep everything stocked and clean. She was wonderful and great to talk to. An amazing place to stay.
The inn is nestled into a lovely neighborhood very close to downtown San Antonio. The room was comfortable and felt homey. I will definitely be staying at this inn when travelling to San Antonio for work again in the future!
We enjoyed our stay. Breakfast was placed outside our room every morning. The room was clean and nice. The hostess was available to address any issues. We would stay again.
I fell in love as soon as I stepped into the lobby. I picked this place as an alternative to a regular hotel, and there was just no comparison. It was like staying at my grandparents' home in Dublin. It is a spotless, impeccably maintained classic home -- wood everywhere, with an old-world feel but no lack of amenities. Each room is unique and beautiful in its own way. I never actually saw any staff member, but that was not a problem. They have a system for getting you your key and for returning it. I did not eat any of the food because I had made other plans for my meals, so I can't really speak to that aspect of the place. My one minor gripe is that the clawfoot tub, while adorable, did not drain very well. I really felt like I had the place to myself for most of my visit. Over three days, I only saw two other guests, very briefly, and I was almost never disturbed by noise, other than a family that arrived on my last night and was a bit noisy coming up the stairs.
This inn has a lot of potential but don't believe the pictures on their website. The general impression is of neglect, even abandonment. Our room was in need of an update and the balcony needs a good cleaning. I never saw anything that looked like the misleading food pictures they have posted. On two of the seven days we stayed there was no milk and no creamer for the coffee. One morning there were no clean coffee mugs. The website brags about "afternoon tea and pastries" and "concierge service." No. The staff arrived late and did the minimum.

Hi Paul! Thank you so much for the review. I will look into the wi-fi issues mentioned- we are actually switching over to Business Spectrum this week :) We sincerely hope to welcome you both back soon!
