Outstanding service great location second time staying here would recommend to others
The hotel is nice and newly renovated but the location did not seem to be in the best area. There is a walk to downtown attractions, not far but not right around corner. I thought the hotel was overpriced and then parking fee was added.
The staff was super helpful. They could give suggestions for restaurants and things to do. They told us how to use the public bus and where the stops were.
It was good, breakfast was great, the location is a bit odd, and you hear alot of the outside noise
HAD A GREAT TIME & AS THE CITY BLOCKS WERE MUCH LONGER IN SAN ANTONIO SO I GOT MORE EXERCISE & DIDN'T HAVE TO USE EXERCISE ROOM AT THE HOTEL.
Got in late at about 11pm. Check in said they were overbooked. Referred us to a nearby hotel. Got to the nearby hotel and was told they only had a king for our party of 4. Would not comp us 2 rooms but told us to go to another hotel near the airport! We refused and had to get a roll-away bed. Needless to say, this was a frustrating experience! Could not submit review without grading hotel, so I put terrible but I had no knowledge since we did not stay there!
The stay was comfortable. I was disappointed in the price as I thought it was overpriced. The staff was very engaging and helpful in recommending places to eat and go along the riverwalk. The room was simple and nice. Not large, comfortable. For 4 people, the suite was small. No ice on my floor,i had to go downstairs. Breakfast was good, but I would recommend a more personal restaurant based on the price. The $179 a night was more like $99.
The hotel was a great value. Located near downtown and the rooms were good size. I would stay here again if in San Antonio. Breakfast is okay if you like eggs, sausage, potatoes in the morning and the dining areas can be packed since it is not very large size and not many tables. The rooms were clean as can be and we did have the option to park at the hotel for a fee.
Hotel was a good location for visiting the Alamo and the River walk. Everything about the hotel was very good. including the value which compared very well to other hotels in the area. I loved San Antonio, wished I'd stayed longer, if I was to return I would definitely stay at Comfort Suites Alamo/Riverwalk again
This hotel was very friendly ...and the location was great it is within walking distance to several attractions
The location was great for exploring downtown, riverwalk, and the Alamo. Nice staff, clean room with comfortable beds, and good breakfast. Seemed like a steal at the price. Had to pay for parking but that seems to be the norm hereabouts.
Excellent value for your money. Exceptional staff and service. Although away from Riverwalk, a nice 10 min. walk one does not mind.
The only one bad thing was when we checked out, we were surprised with the amount of taxes and fees that were applied to our bill from booking through travel site than booking direct through hotel. It was approximately $300 added once parking was iapplied and they taxed the parking as well. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean, loved the smoke free environment, Great hotel for the money. Having to pay $15 a day for parking was a bit much.
"Covered parking" is parking under the freeway. Couldnt see Riverwalk or any other tourist attractions. Walking in area didnt appeal to us. Great breakfast.
Hotel overall was good. Main staff were friendly, breakfast was good and so was Manager Night. Rooms were clean however had to ask for more soap/shampoo several times as maids had not replaced. Need to replace some of the equipment in the Fitness Center and make sure kids are not in there unless they have supervision. Location was fine. Was a little worried at first having to go under the overpass to get to the Riverwalk area but had no problems and the couple block walk was not a big deal. I think all hotels sell them self short though by not offering more information on restaurants in the area, having people know where the closest gas station and/or grocery store (as examples). This type of help would make travelers settled in to a new place easier and I think come back to a place more often.
The hotel was very presentable and very clean and, the room was very spacious and the beds were big and very comfortable and the view was good. The staff was friendly and helpful. Overall a very good hotel that I plan to revisit.
Though some things were lacking such as the fitness room, I greatly enjoyed the Comfort Suites Alamo Riverwalk. It was a nice, new hotel. The staff's service was great. They were very helpful. I would definitely consider staying here again in the future.
Great. Clean room, nice amenities, good location.

nice hotel but expensive

Comfort Suites Alamo/River Walk is a woman owned and operated hotel, and we want all our guests to experience true Texas hospitality and quality accommodations while exploring the sights and sounds of the downtown San Antonio area. Being a few blocks away from the heart of downtown gives us the opportunity to provide our guest with excellent accommodations and outstanding service at a great value in downtown San Antonio. I know we are not for everyone but there are dates where we are very affordable that are not during Final Four, Rock N Roll Marathon, New Year, Valero Bowl, Rodeo or Spring Break! Come back again to enjoy the amazing and Romantic Riverwalk and sleep on the CHOICE Pillows of your choice as well as top of the line Serta matrress. Thank you so much for choosing to stay with us at Comfort Suites Alamo/Riverwalk. We hope to see you again soon.
close to the riverwalk.

Kathy, It was a delight to have you stay with us! I have had our Maintenance Engineer look into the lighting in the bathroom to make sure it is brighter - for your next stay with us! If we can ever be of any assistance feel free to let us know how we can help. Thank you and have a wonderful day.

Thank you for choosing Comfort Suites Alamo/Riverwalk for your accommodations. Thank you for recognizing our amazing staff for their friendly service, as they do their best to help meet the needs of our guests and provide a great stay. We truly appreciate your business and your ratings and review. We do understand that even though we are only 3 blocks from the Alamo and 4 blocks from the River Center Mall and the River Walk, not all of our guests want to walk, so most of our guests will choose to use the city transit bus/trolley system that is available one block away and runs every 15 minutes from 7 a.m. to 2:30 a.m., or opt for taxi/Uber/Lift service (very reasonable fee) for their return to the hotel. We greatly appreciate your business and we thank you again for your feedback. We hope that you return soon!
