Hermosa casa en barrio histórico

La casa de dos pisos y 2000 pies cuadrados se encuentra en el histórico barrio de Lavaca, al sur del centro. Hay dos baños y cuatro habitaciones. Tres habitaciones tienen camas tamaño queen, y la cuarta tiene una cama queen y una doble. También hay un sofá cama plegable y un colchón de aire disponibles. La televisión por cable está en la sala de estar. The Host was friendly,the kitchen was fitted and the fridge even had fresh eggs! It was nice and close to the Riverwalk area and very comfortable. Super neat view through the trees of the Tower of the Americans from the balcony. Floors could have been a little cleaner around the corners but there were plenty of towels and other necessities. Fantastically cool old style house!

It was a great place for my group and I to host a reunion. Short walk to the riverwalk with lots of things to do, lots of parking, and very comfortable. A/C worked great when it was kicked on. Had everything you needed.

Lovely older home with lots of space and comfortably slept our group. Everything we needed in kitchen, plenty of parking space for our cars. House is older than appears in pictures and needs a little TLC, but great value and we would absolutely stay again. Owner was responsive and accommodating. Easy walk to Riverwalk.

This house was perfect for our family. Great location and just as described. All bedrooms are up stairs, but the living room can close up and the sleeper sofa worked perfect for us - traveling with a broken foot.

Host was communicative and responsive throughout our stay. Check-in instructions were clear and concise as well as the expectations. Amenities in the house were nice, functioned well and overall the house was comfortable. Location was PERFECT. Safe, quiet neighborhood within walking distance to most everything we wanted to get to. Gated driveway for our rental vehicle was a bonus.

The host was very helpful. The house is very conveniently located. Close to downtown and close to good restaurants. The house is charming and homey and a fine specimen (more than 100 years old) with high ceilings and fine woodwork. The kitchen was well stocked with staples. We enjoyed the neighborhood feel. It was perfect for us, a group of friends attending a conference. Beds comfortable, homey all around.

OMG! Where do I start! The house was amazing. The owner stocked the kitchen so well, if you didn’t want to leave you had most everything you wanted to prepare a meal. The house was clean and comfortable. You are within walking distance to the River Walk about a mile, we did it and will not do that again. We are old! Lol and it was hard on our bodies in the heat. Some of us, who are cat lovers, loved the cats! I finally made friends with one of them before our stay ended. The owner is amazing! The contact between myself and the owner was great! I would love to talk to him more about the home! If ever returning to San Antonio, I would definitely stay here again!

Location Location Location

Location could not be better. Perfect for Lackland AFB graduations. 15 minute drive to the base. You can walk to Riverwalk in 15 minutes. All kinds of restaurants to walk to close to the home. Randy is a great host. The beds are very comfy. Pantry stocked with some food if you don't make it to the store in time. HEB market is fantastic. We would definitely rent this historical home again. Randy even has directions to the different sites.

A Week in Southtown

Overall we loved the area. Plenty to do within short walking distances for all ages, a ton of great restaurants, and in a great old neighborhood. The house is old and had great character but with any old house its constantly in need of work. There were obvious projects ongoing in and outside the house. No big deal but would've been nice to know prior to arrival (the yard was a mess, nails/screws in the driveway, outside trash cans hadn't been taken to the curb in awhile). To sum it up. We loved the house but it needs some TLC, the area is amazing, and there is no shortage of great things to do.

Location!

While the house was older and there was a lot of cosmetic work to be done on the house, the location can not be beat!!!! Plus, a driveway for parking! That's huge for the San Antonio area. 10 min walk to the Riverwalk and tons of restaurants nearby as well. Only a 6 min drive to the Historic Outdoor Market which was also fun to walk around in. Only 35 mins to the Natural Bridges Cavern, which was beautiful. He had the house stocked with food in case we needed anything, which was awesome. Overall, great stay and would stay there again. If you're looking for new and up to date furnishings, etc...this isn't for you, but again, the location was literally perfect!!! Had a great time relaxing in the formal dining area playing cards after walking all over San Antonio. The owner was responsive within minutes of texting him and he was very accommodating. Highly recommend!
