Barely covers price, could much improve

The hotel pictures are like 10 years older. It’s been left with no real maintenance. AC unit in the bedroom makes noise, leaks and even spits water and sometimes ice. The room is pretty big which is good, but the bathroom is pretty small. There is a broken safe in the closet. The worst is the supposed queen bed, really is two single beds together, totally uncomfortable and a plain lie. The location is great, safe, close to lots of stuff. If they clean it up, paint and do maintenance it could be a great hotel. It has a small pool but is nice and well located.

What I like the view ! I did not like like the maintance around the pool and the water was not very clean ! On a Sunday morning at 7am the cleaning staff was strolling a noisy cart outside our doors making a lott of noise ! Horrible moments

It was OK. The people at the hotel that I encountered were always very nice (but they don't speak English, so be prepared), so that made an otherwise difficult stay a little bit better. But the hotel itself is in poor condition and needs some improvements. For example - the door handle to my room came off in my hand; you couldn't close the door from the outside without reaching in and turning the inside handle, then very quickly trying to close it. The bed wasn't very comfortable. On the other hand, the breakfast was good and the view from the pool area was very nice. Not the worst, but could be better, and should be.

Disappointing

We expected it to be a bit dated, but it was just old and dirty. It has a terrific view but it needs serious updating. The doors to the guest rooms look like they had been broken into many times before. There were random furnishings and sheets on the floor. The hill to get up to the hotel is really steep.

Sol Bahia Hotel

This hotel is fairly old and many parts of the hotel was not kept up to date or ignored. It sort of blended with the run down neighborhoods it was adjacent to. The price paid is not a good value. In the USA I would be staying at brand new hotels for the same price. Extremely expensive for what we received. The best part was the breakfast. The staff was fairly friendly and helpful.

The hotel looks nice

1/ no wifi in the rooms. The only wifi was near the entrance (next to the restaurant) and it was terrible. So we sales if they had wifi in the rooms but they were selling vouchers. So I as les if it will be working better than in the lobby, the staff told us yes. Finally the connection As horrible. spent 15 réais for that.. 2/ humidity in the room... So the smell was horrible 3/ room not as clean as expected (45€ per night) 4/ beach supposes to be just by tHe hôtel which is not true... On top if this the hôtel is locales at least by bus 20mîn from the center of Salvador which is clearly not practicle 5/ expect one girl speaking barely english and one speaking french the staff was nice but it was super hard to communicate with them.

this is not the type of hotel I wouldn't come back again. unfortunately, we've arrived during the season they're refurbishing, hence i was quite common to face some dirtyness here and there.

Loved it all

Buffet was absolutely the best! We returned night after night! Also, you couldn't find a better and more comfortable pool area overlooking the ocean and swaying palms. I'd also commend the staff. Every single one was professional and amible. We did not find one disagreeable person while there. I'd give this hotel a 9.

Chuveiro não esquenta, pedimos para ver e nada foi feito, sem contar q alaga tudo, fica uns 5 cm de água até o tornozelo (aconselho tomar banho de bota para neo pegar frieira), piso do quarto sujo, na cabeceira de uma das camas tem uma luminária q se a pessoa for alta ou bate a cabeça nela, ou fica enrolado na cortina... experiência mto ruim, vou mandar fotos, há e os colchões tbm mto ruim, frigobar velho roça mais q eu

Alguns funcionários gentis, outros não. Uma subida e uma decida enorme ao acesso do hotel. Têm um onibus de acesso, mas só disseram qdo nos estavamos já indo embora Apesar de questionar o fato com a recepcionista que nos recebeu.
