Superior rooms, are large in size, very well equipped and comfortable. Staff were very friendly and helpful, and the breakfasts offered a wide choice of good quality food. Car parking is a bonus in such a city centre location, although using a 'car lift' for the first time, is an experience.
I recently stayed in this hotel during my recent vacation in Spain. It is a nice Hotel located downtown Salamanca . It is close to major atractions. The staff is very friendly , welcoming and helpful . The rooms were clean and roomy, well maintained . Breakfast was included in our rate .It was good and delicious with a variety of choices. I did not have any issue and my experience in this Hotel was overall positive. I wil definitively stay again in this Hotel and I highly recommend it .
We recently spent a week at Eurostars Las Claras. We had booked a Superior Double Room and were checked into room 402. Which while somewhat small and with a window looking into an external stairwell seemed fine. However - having retired for the night the noise in the room was horrendous - the very walls were vibrating!! We complained to Reception and were given access to room 414 which was a Superior room and quiet. Compliments to Reception staff for dealing with this issue. We were harried the next morning to complete our move out of room 402 ( which we had not done in the middle of the night when we moved to room 414) so it would appear that someone else was being given room 402 !! The Breakfast Room could have been better managed. It appeared to be short staffed and it took some time for used tables to be cleared, most then not being reset. Fare was typical continental breakfast style with some hot dishes. The choice of bread and rolls was a bit hit & miss and some mornings the rolls were quite hard. On the last two days of our stay there was no butter as " the man who delivers the butter did not turn up ". The staff approached us to ask for our room number - which we gave them - we were then questioned on how we would pay for breakfast - surely a matter of noting that we had had breakfast and then the finance department would charge to our room! As different members of staff asked different questions it got to be somewhat annoying. We were also told on one occasion that the table we were standing next too was set for 4 people and that we couldn't use it. Which is fine except that other guests were using tables set for more than there were guests using it. We were also directed to tables with two seats however not set properly. Before being able to have breakfast we had to look for crockery and cutlery. In general the hotel was fine, clean & tidy.
I recently spent two nights at the Las Claras. This is a small hotel with excellent reception staff who gave a warm welcome and were very helpful with various questions. The room was well furnished and comfortable. In a four-star hotel I expect at least a hot water kettle or coffee maker in the room, I also expect a decent supply of tissues (the small package of paper handkerchiefs doesn't count!) and wash cloths in the bathroom. These were not part of the guest items at Las Claras. The breakfast was adequate but lacking in variety of offerings. The wifi was unreliably slow.
I have stayed here twice before and this hotel is very well kept and staff extremely nice. It is a bit of a walk from the train station but doable. No gym is a draw back. Wonderful breakfast. Bed and room are both high rated Close enough to walk to all major sites and easy access to roads for travel.
Eurostars hotel is always well designed and furnished, this one is no exception. The staff is friendly and capable, the rooms are nice with excellent amenities. The parking is really hard to get in and out if you have a slightly larger car. My rented Audi A4 could barely get into the hotel garage. A bit of walking distance to the university and the plaza major is the only drawback.
First time at hotel. Easy to find, convenient parking although the car lift may be a tight fit for very large vehicles. Clean facilities, friendly staff, great location within walking distance of Plaza Major. Breakfast reasonably priced although it is only has a typical continental selection. Well worth a visit. Will definitely be visiting again.
We booked a 2 night stay and weren't disappointed great location with all that Salamanca offers within easy walking distance. The rooms were very comfortable and spotlessly clean well worth a visit. My only slight complaint would be the bar area was very small but wouldn't stop me from returning again.
A nice hotel with good breakfast. If you come to Salamanca by train, bus 1 can take you pretty close to this hotel (the walk from the bus stop Plaza del Poeta Iglesias took less than 10 minutes). On the day of departure we walked to the station, and it was about 30 minutes or even less. All main sights of the city are quite close to the hotel, so there's no need to use the public transport to see them. The rooms are spacious, though the furniture is a bit shabby, and I do not like the carpeted floor (unfortunately most of the hotels have it). The air conditioning was not very stable, but the open window solved this problem. The staff is very nice and helpful, they gave us advice on the sights and restaurants, and they provided us with a takeaway breakfast when we had to leave prior to the breakfast time. For a glass of nice wine try Vinodario restaurant which is just opposite the hotel, and also try their starters (really delicious).
My wife and I spent a couple of nights in this hotel. The room is good sized and comfortable. Their buffet breakfast was good too: many options to choose from. I'm rating this low because a couple of issues: 1) Air conditioning was not working: We complained about this to the front desk but really nothing happened. Temperature never went below 26C - we couldnt sleep well... 2) Toilet flusher not working: We advised front desk about this and, again, nothing happened in the two days...
