Our hosts were very friendly and helpful. The lists for places to eat were very helpful. The house was perfect for our family and very comfortable. The location was great and close to all amenities. We loved our stay and will certainly stay here again.

Cozy Mountain Getaway

Our family of four enjoyed our long weekend here. The neighborhood was quiet and the location was close to shopping, restaurants, and the grocery store. The house had several seating options in the living room which made it nice to enjoy games or watching TV. The kitchen was well equipped. The beds were comfy! We really enjoyed hanging out on the porch drinking our coffee and taking in the views!

Solitude with a View

Great location on top of the hill, which allows for great views. Very short drive to shopping and other attractions of Ruidoso. Really not much to add to what is already posted, i.e. great communication, homey, comfortable, clean, plenty of kitchen essentials, etc. Would definitely stay here again on any future trip to the area.

Great Stay

This house was located high on the end of a cul-de-sac, which provided great views of the surrounding mountains and a quiet serene atmosphere. The location is as close as you’d want to be to shopping, dining and groceries. The house itself is very clean and spacious. We had deer and humming birds at the house daily. Highly recommended for a family or couples getaway.

Beautiful, well maintained property

One of our best stays ! It is obvious that owners Jim & Michele have worked hard and put a lot of thought into the home to ensure your comfort. We loved the gas fireplace, fabulous views of snow capped mountains, and privacy on the quiet dead-end street. Ruidoso's Lighted Christmas Parade did not disappoint and we enjoyed hiking and renting a UTV to explore the Lincoln National Forest. A drive up to Ski Apache and windy point was beautiful and we saw wild horses, deer, and elk everywhere ! We also went to The Flying J Ranch's benefit dinner & show. Shopping opportunities are plentiful and we came home with several treasures from local shops. A weather tip for those from warmer climates: dress in layers and bring plenty of lotion & lip balm ! Humidity is very low and temperatures can vary wildly from the valley to the mountains and from the sunshine to the shade.

Excellent place to stay for a family or three couples.

First of all Jim and Michelle provide you with much needed information you need to get around town. They make themselves available for any questions and are ready to help. The home has everything you need; it is a very lovely home, very comfortable and clean. We had a great time here, we definitely will stay again.

memorial weekend getaway

This was our first stay at this property in Ruidoso although we've rented various other properties previously. It has the feeling of being further out of town but is actually located close in. The owners have covered every detail!! The amenities were exemplary and very much appreciated. Because it was a busy weekend in town, we ate in and the kitchen was fully stocked. My favorite spot was on the deck with its' spectacular views in several directions. We hope to return. Definitely 5 star!! Thanks to owners Jim and Michele!

Calm escape

Clean and cozy. Views are spectacular. Felt like a calm escape from the city despite being really close to important activity spots. Easy to follow house rules. Will definitely check availability of this house for our next vacation.

Excellent Thanksgiving Stay

My family of 4 stayed for a week. Property was great for us and everything was listed accurately. We had everything we needed for a family of 4 and the kitchen was stocked with everything needed to make a thanksgiving dinner. It was a very quiet property - exactly what we were looking for. Would stay again!

Everything about the home, location and view was outstanding. From the wraparound windows looking out to a beautiful mountain range to the peacefulness of the surroundings, we had an ideal location to enjoy. The hosts stayed in touch from booking through departure. In addition, the hummingbirds were friendly and a mama deer introduced us to her fawn. What more could one ask?
