Great Little Place

This place was great! It sleeps a lot of people and kind of hidden back in the trees. 10am check is really hard, but other than that we had a great time.

Advertised as an air conditioned property. It only has one small wall unit that barely cools one room. Sleeping was miserable because bedrooms were hot and mattresses were old and worn. Floors in kitchen felt like spots were about to fall through. Pictures of property way oversell it. It’s jus an old house that needs some major upkeep. Wouldn’t recommend it at all. We left full day early just to find something more comfortable.

Perfect mountain getaway

We loved our time at the Great Escape! The location was perfect…super close to town but we still felt enveloped in trees at the house. The neighborhood was super quiet as well despite being so close to town. The front patio was amazing! Definitely the best part of the house. We traveled with 3 kids 2-7 and it was perfect for them as well. We got a lot of visits from deer and even saw some woodpeckers! We would definitely stay here again.

Great little cozy cabin

Great cozy cabin, close to town but still had the mountain vibe. It’s tucked away nestled in the trees, we almost couldn’t find it …look for the sign —➡️ “The Great Escape” We traveled with 2 families with younger kids and teens and the house worked great. The Cabin was well stocked, the beds were comfy, & the huge deck & hot tub were a real treat! The Management company & owners were very responsive when we had questions. We highly recommend this cabin!

This cabin was a great place to stay, it was clean, plenty of room, the hot tub was excellent, and the wildlife was abundant for the kids to see. The tree swing was great for the kids too, they really enjoyed playing on it.

The Great Escape

Darla was excellent to work with. I just loved the location of the cabin, just outside of midtown enough to be secluded. So much room and so many beds...perfect for a family or for just the two of you. The cabin is comfy and the decor is cute. The amenities CAN NOT be beat. Plenty of room to dance in the kitchen for no reason with Alexa playing your favorite songs. My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon a few days and we kinda like dancing for no reason so this was perfect! Highly recommended and we will return.

Fantastic getaway!

Loved “The Great Escape”! It was an amazing experience, deer around us both morning and night. The kids where exited, great place to bond with family. Property is close to grocery stores and recreational activities. Unfortunately we went during the week and most recreational activities were closed due to Covid-19, but will be returning for sure! Place is super clean and cozy.

Cute house!

The house had everything as promised. The kitchen is well appointed and we loved the air-fryer. The kitchen shelves were a little too tall for me, but the kitchen/living room format works well and the living room was conducive to watching movies. We loved the deck and ate most of our meals outside. We saw many deer coming through the property. Even thought the property is close to town, it feel secluded. We had a little confusion about one of the locks. We texted the owner and heard back from her right away :-) So, all in all, it was a good adventure for us (four friends). We all agreed it would be a nice place to bring our families.

Amazing

This was hands down the best cabin we have ever stayed in. Everything was excellent from cleanliness which was immaculate and it had everything you could think of that you needed in the huge kitchen. Location was also great as it is private at the bottom of the mountain where we enjoyed birds, deer and the stream that flowed beside the cabin. I am planning to come back with more of my family. I give this place 5 stars all the way around! Gerri Lawson
