We spend a night in this hotel. The Staff was ok but the manager of the reception didn't was nice to use. She looks and talk to us like shes not in the mood. We didnt have a car with us and it was long way to go with metro and after 15 minutes walk. Room was clean but i find some kind of big spider. I dont think so that i will come back there.
Easy to find out (even when you have navigation), free parking (+++), easy to get to public transport. Beds are soft, but provided good sleeping. Air condition is OK, there is no noise from street. You can order breakfast in the morning ad hoc, which is nice.
The location is not best suited for business travelers. Tried the restaurant on one occasion on a week long trip. That sums up my experience. I waited at least 10 minutes before being acknowledged to get a menu. Then had to ask for place settings that had not been present. My fault I guess for choosing that table. I also recommend a refresher course on hygiene as cleaning the tables then serving bread is far from appropriate. A few other patrons experienced the long wait as priority seemed to be given to those at the bar. No immediate issues with the room which was the saving grace.
The reasons I don't recommend this hotel for business travellers are: I waited an hour for dinner on the first night - I can only assume they forgot about me. In general, service was slow in the restaurant and I'd have to sit there quite a long time without a drink, or waiting on food, or waiting on the bill. I waited 20 minutes for an omelette to be cooked at breakfast because they have one person and one small pan so I had to give up before I could receive it as I had to get to work I was promised a complimentary meal to apologise for the delay in my meal on first night, but it still showed on the bill, so I had to awkwardly request it be removed The room is quite basic - bad shampoo (something I never travel with now, what with the liquids limit and all, so disappointing when it's really cheap and bad), weirdly there was no toilet roll holder or anywhere sensible to place a toilet roll, no room service, I ordered a taxi the first night for the next morning. When it didn't show up, I asked reception to chase. They said, which firm? I said I don't know, the receptionist called it for me. They replied, well I don't know who they'd have called. I don't understand why a hotel would call a taxi in advance and either not have a regular company to call, or make a note of who they called if not. The next day, same problem. They told me they always have unreliable taxis. Oddly, I stayed on another business trip at Novotel Brainpark and didn't have this problem at all. I'm told by a work colleague it's because the hotel isn't that far from town (but still a 30 minute walk) so the taxis aren't bothered about a short fare. All in all, I was several times annoyed or frustrated, primarily by poor customer service. The evening meal was quite tasty when it came - that's pretty much the only praise I can give this hotel. Particularly for business customers, I don't think this hotel gives the stress-free and comfortable stay needed.
Old facilities, dirty bathroom and bed full of hairs. We were moved to another room and cleanliness was just a little bit better but still hairs on bed. Complained, and staff answer was "that's a laundry issue, we do our best to take out hairs but sometimes it happens". What kind of guests and laundry service do they have? Fully disgusting.
there was no possibility to buy snacks or drinks (it was a warm night) i could get no change for the coca cola machine. staff was to put it mildly not very servile, open and friendly .(as i expected based on years of experience) but straight to the point and keeping distance with a minimum of politeness
Good value, big room, quiet environment, kind staff. But it's really a little far away from train station and metro station, and there's no proper public transportation available. Nearest bus stop is 10 minutes away by walk.
My father and I stayed here for 2 nights on our way to Amsterdam to go to The Hague. Upon arrival, the lady at the front desk was very helpful and welcoming. Our room was quite roomy, had a fridge and kettle. We found the beds comfortable and good curtains that blocked out the sun. Aircon worked well and room was quiet. As another reviewer said, there is very little around the area ie for food but there was free tea and coffee and water in the room and a fridhe and kettle. The hotel is about a 20 minute easy walk to train which we then took to The Hague to avoid parking costs and issues. The bathroom was spacious and very clean. The breakfast is €14 (a bit more than usual) but there was a good selection of food to choose from and an employee will cook you fresh eggs or omelette. Was nice and enjoyable. I also used the fitness room which is downstairs with clean and working equipment. Would recommend this hotel for price and convenience.
I was pleasantly surprised with this hotel, just not the enormous cost of breakfast. The room was good, there was air con - something most of the city doesn't have, they give complimentary coffee and tea every morning, the shower is nice and big, it was fairly clean, except for the old coke bottle under my bed. This part made me wonder how clean the hotel actually is. What do the cleaning men/women do when working. It looked like my place was clean, but I cannot be sure after finding this. For me, it was okay, I just wonder how clean the sheets are and how often the floor is vacuumed. This is why I usually do airbnb, often, I think these places are cleaner
The hotel was quite nice with a good restaurant and very friendly and helpful staff. Parking was easy just outside in the open or in a garage. good internet, comfortable beds and a tasty continental breakfast (though a bit limited - but they have a person making your eggs after your wishes) There is also a quite big shopping mall close by (5 minutes by car) Only downside was that when coming in 15 minutes to breakfast end, there are empty of plates, cups and glas and the food is running very low.
